How can you see the battery as a percentage?
cheers. thats sorted it. usually the simplest of things hey?
the buyer of my nexus4 has not signed for the item and it returned back to me today. likelyhood of getting £200 again for it is slim.
i hate ebay.
how did you post it? as Royal mail will only cover £50 if it's a phone.
or did you tell them it was something else?
basically it's really not worth selling stuff over £100 on ebay anymore, gumtree is the best way to go, no 15% deduction of fees, no postage costs, no messing about. although you have to price your phone for less it works out better overall.
unfortunately i need to post 2 nexus 4's today and no idea what to do when i get to the post office.
K, tried to kill it today.. and finally did it! bOOM.. this is above my normal usage of - 2.5-3hrs/screenon/day but I just wanted to see where it dies..
~1hr youtube
~30mins on vine
~30mins music
+ camera
+ app testing etc
and the rest is browsing and standby with wifi on all day

this is on faux kernel
oh and for those that want lower density screen on your N5(imo stock is way to high for this resolution)
example -;
you'll need ROOT but do -;
download -; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox&hl=en
open
navigate to performance
click build.prop editor
find "ro.sf.lcd_density"
change from 480 to 380(if you want the same as my example screenshot)
allow the app to reboot the phone..
TADAAA...
Im not sure of the technical names for these things as I am a recent iPhone convert but if you open the notification bar and click on the icon to the top right (which brings up your toggles) it will show the battery as a % on that screen.
with the faux kernel, do you install and leave all settings to default or do some settings need to be changed?
I left mine as default!I would set it up the way he recommends in his kernel thread but paying 3 quid for an app I may or may not use is a bit meh.
mind you, people get the same/better battery life with stock kernel!I simply mentioned it in case someone cared lol.
here's a quick camera quality comparison between stock app and V1.3 modded(darker image is HDR+) -;
Quicker way to get to that toggles screen is to drag the notification bar down with 2 fingers rather than the usual 1.![]()

????
because iirc there was a similar mod for the nexus 4 and iirc it was all placebo and the actual IQ was no different at all and just resulted in much bigger file sizes.
not saying this is the same but can anyone actually see a difference in the pictures? is the difference worth the difference in file sizes?
yup! not much difference in perfect light as you can see by the pictures!CBA to compare it at night/low light but I don't think there will be much improvement!
google will fix the focus issues no doubt.
so better off just staying stock then i take it?
these camera mods are nothing more than people who just change some settings, nothing to with coding.
they just take a setting and switch it from say 12 to 17 and change sharpness by 1 or 2 points on the slider, etc.
if an actual coder made a camera mod then yeah it would probably be beneficial.
finally got my nexus 5 today
I've just switched to ART from Delvik. So far, so good. Anyone else changed the run time? Experiences?
If you're rooted apparently you can get it to work by deleting some files once you switch over to ART.good post.
Waiting till whatsapp works with ART before switching. It's one of my most used apps.
