Would have been cheaper and easier to just replace the tyres surely
So, change the set of 3 thousand mile old Goodyear Excellence tyres (£500) Get it serviced (£300, its due in January) the rear brakes need doing shortly (another £90), for a car that we were aiming to change in June anyway (admittedly for another mini).
OR, spend £300 more (£1200 into the new car as deposit) and get a car that's 4 years younger and that she is convinced will be safer in, wont need servicing for a year, has new tyres and is cheaper to insure.
Choices choices eh?
OCUK logic to the rescue once again.
I surprise myself sometimes how I've managed to get to 38 without people holding my hand over such banalities as buying the wife a car.
£300 for decent tyres and maybe £1 for some man up cream. If you are still struggling then bitch-slap cream is currently on offer.
Apparently it was an absolutely horrible horrible job replacing the starter motor, and the techs had called it many names, but eventually it played ball. £426 for the pleasure. The 318 drives well and other than no power (All of my cars in the last 10+ years have been turbo'd awd toys, even the 528 was sub 200bhp :/ ) and no remote CL, hardly an issue...
So the E46 is back in my possession at last!Apparently it was an absolutely horrible horrible job replacing the starter motor, and the techs had called it many names, but eventually it played ball. £426 for the pleasure.
They also found an oil leak while in there, so looks like it will be back in a week or two, but at least I can get them to change the oil pressure sensor while they're at it.
I went from a 528i to a 318i, whilst it was great on fuel, it was a bore to drive.
I now have an e46 325i.
Given your past cars, I reckon you'll do a similar thing within a year as I did.
Does anyone know if using non RF tyres on a car that has them as standard affects BMW warranty in any way? Google has failed to give me a conclusive answer so this is the last stop before I give them a call...
Finally gotten fed up with the ride/terrible wet grip that the standard Bridgestone Potenza's give my 135i.
Does anyone know how or if it's possible to change the headlight beam direction on an 07 E92 for driving in Europe?
I've read conflicting stuff by searching the internet.

I'm assuming since you're asking, you have adaptive xenons? If not, there is no beam adjustment necessary as the headlight beam pattern should be flat.
Will normal petrol cause any problems in a 330ci rather than vpower?
I've read mix views online but does anyone actually know?
