Thinking I may just stop using hangouts.
Finding me random Google + people and the MMS when sending txts to more than 2 people.
Uninstall Google+ updates, then disable it.
Can anyone explain why this phone is considered cheap?
I'm at the end of my current contract so the release timing is pretty ideal as I'd been struggling to pick a new handset (they are all totally huge and to me kinda ugly) and was hoping to reduce the amount having a smartphone costs me.
So Nexus 5 appears and everyone's like wow soooooo cheap, yeah as long as all you want to do is look at it, by the time you have a decent deal on minutes, txts and data it's the same price as any other, arguably better, phone!!!!! Or am I somehow missing the point? Is there a superb sim only deal out there somewhere that makes the phone worthwhile?
Nexus 5 - £340+£360(£15per month sim x 24months) = £710
Xperia Z1,S4,HTC1 - £30per month contract x 24 months = £720

Haha my Note 3 deal of £26 x 24months (£624) makes this phone look expensive.
Soon to be 4G too.
that is a great deal!![]()

just a shame about the software on the note
But SIM free is not in itself cheap right? So I have to care about signing a contract (or maybe have bad credit) in order for this phone to make sense? Otherwise it's actually rather expensive for what you get?
Basically I'm asking should I just buy one of the main contract contenders or is it sufficiently on a par?
edit.
wow lots of posts since i refreshed
There's is no clear winner between the G2, N5, One and GS4. They all have their strengths and weaknesses depending on user preference. All are good phones with top specs.

Look at what you get on the contract for the s4 ect.
The £15 sim on 3 is
Unlimited Data,
2,000 minutes
5,000 Three-to-Three minutes.
5,000 texts
Which is more than any of the other ones you can get with the £30+ phones a month.
And the fact of the specs being better....always latest android version amount other things.

Basically, if you buy the phone SIM free it's a fair bit cheaper than the competition. If you buy it on a contract, the shops mark it up so that it comes out very similar to any other high end phone.
Quite, any reason you don't mention the Z1?There's is no clear winner between the G2, N5, One and GS4. They all have their strengths and weaknesses depending on user preference. All are good phones with top specs.
