Link to chi choose magnets plz?
It depends on the quality of the battery and how low you let it discharge. I never let it get to 3.2v. I always recharge them at around 3.5v-3.6v.
I have a cycle with batteries as well so that one is not always getting hammered.
I don't think I will actually get one because I am skint ATM, But I have not seen them before and they look cool... Other than looking nice and shiny, do they actually have better performance than something like a protank with a VV battery?
Whatever works for you. I still use EVODs (which are pretty much less bling Protanks tbh) and regular, non VV ego batteries for out and about and work, where I'd not want the attention drawn to myself that a huge mod and dripper would bring.
Drippers are a whole other world to atomisers though, and a mod with a big battery hits harder and for longer than any slimline eGo battery could imagine.
Personally, if I were you, I'd get into recoiling my own Protanks first. Once you see what can be achieved DIY, it's a slippery sloap
Protank + home made coil @ ~1.8ohm with cotton wick - it'll blow your socks off and you'll never like or want silica again
I was having a vape in the town center today, outside a popular real smoke store, when a big burly looking guy walked up to me and asked about my vape, we exchanged some words, he pulled out a real Nemisis and KFL, so, having seen my Clone Nem (and real KFL) next to his real, I can say, the only difference is mine is shiny AND matte and his engraving is better...Swapped drip-tips and the vape is the same. I am really happy with my Clonisis, I actually prefer the looks of the mixed finish to all shiny or matte.
I also secured a kick for £12 and it works great so my SID will be taking a back-seat for now. Only thing I need or want now is the magnets for my Nem as he had a magnetic switch and I found it really nice...
Came across this interesting info the other day, regarding being a smoker or non smoker for life insurance:-
"Even nicotine replacement products like patches, gum and inhalers count. You’ll still be classed as a smoker if you’re using these instead of cigarettes. You have to have given up smoking and all nicotine replacement products for 12 consecutive months to be able to call yourself a non-smoker for insurance purposes."
It does make you wonder £20 vs £150 for something that will give you the same experience. That is a lot to consider if you're financially struggling or saving. I spent £135 on a mech mod and compared to a clone I can tell no difference and tbh the switch on the clone is better. Am I the fool for buying an original or am I just getting caught up in hype?
Both of these are clones

Not enjoying this rsst its far to airy, I've seen the air reducer which goes in the chamber but it costs more than the atty itself and I don't really want to pay the £23 for abit of plastic.
I bought a Paps X and it was a thing of beauty. Very well engineered and beautifully finished. 2 days later I received my Nemesis Clone, in all honesty I personally could not justify paying nearly £150 for a mod when the £20 clone did enough for me. I sold the Paps X a week later. Dont get me wrong I have a Paps 2.5 and it has an excellent level of workmanship but some of these clones are spot on

I did pay the £23 for the reducer (bare in mind that a new RSST can be picked up for £21!) a week ago. I installed it, keeping the 1.4 ohm ribbon wrapped around 2x 3mm of silica... I'd already drilled the airhole out to 1.5mm.
I really wasn't impressed; no noticeable change in vapour density, flavour or warmth. Was pretty tempted to either return it, or move it on via UKVapers classifieds...
Then I saw "JustPoo" 's "Turn a Genesis atty into an Auto feeding dripper": removed the silica and ribbon, wrapped 8 turns of 28AWG A1 Kanthal microcoil around a 2.5mm drill bit (using Greigster' s Coil Buddy - measures 1.6ohm) and attached it to +ve & - ve points, then rolled a very small piece of cotton and fed it up through the wick hole and into the coil. No long tail, just enough to fill the coil and sit in the top of the juice tank...
I primed the rest of the cotton & filled with Scope's Apple Tart (of course)...
Put the top cap back on and attached the RSST to my Kick'd Private v2 at 9/10W...
That was 3 days ago and other than battery changes every 2 (I need a Kick'able 18650 mod!) hours, I've not been able to put it down.
I really didn't want to like it - I'd hoped it was just a fad...
Incredible, truly stunning vape, from an atty & modification cost 1/3 of the KFL.
I've said it before there is really little difference in mechs. They all work on the same principle. There is little difference in switches, materials and pins. If someone can't get a GP Paps, then there are lots of other mods which will do the same thing, and mod makers are getting better that there is usually a few weeks wait for the next batch instead of months.
There is a level playing field when it comes to mods because there are so many out there and new mod makers are rising from their sheds creating things for us consumers and some even creating jobs.
What I do like and will purchase an original of is if the mod maker has been innovative. Look at the ZenU, DNA20 Mech which retains the form factor in the best possible way without wasting space. If his design is cloned (which it most likely will be) how is that rewarding those who are pioneering the vaping field? I also know his stuff is pricey, $250 isn't something we can all afford to spend especially when a clone will be $50 or less.
It will always be a matter of morals and ethics but I can also understand those who wish to save by going through fasttech for example.
A gus, nemesis, chi you, paps, caravela, etc to me is just another tubular mod with different engraving, if it isn't then someone tell me what the difference is when it comes to functionality?
