You could just lock the nicotine base away somewhere and put it on a high shelf or something, unless you have a 2 year old that can climb and pick locks then it should be ok.

Joking aside - I wouldn't want to take the chance - if it's not in the home, there's no worry. I don't need to take that risk, all for the sake of a few extra quid each month. We're already better off not smoking.

If I had a 2 year old I would probably do the same because it would be horrible if they did somehow drink it or something, it does just look like water to a 2 year old.... 74mg/ml pretty dangerous stuff, this is giving me second thoughts about using the stuff now! Just use some latex gloves when handling it I guess.

I don't understand wha this post is about? 100% nicotine is volatile and can kill just from you breathing in a room that has an open bottle in. There are some sites that sell nicotine in the type of strength that can kill just by opening the bottle.
Simon/Scope uses proper surgical gloves (dual layer, thicker latex) a surgical face mask and polycarbonate safety specs when diluting 72mg base into the various PG:VG ratios, ready to make up the different strengths of his mixes.
Even a small drop of the stuff is enough to make someone pretty poorly - worse if it gets in the eyes.
It may seem overly cautious, but Simon's background has shown him how easy it is to get complacent - and I'm incline to agree; if my time in many different optical labs, each with varying standards of COSHH procedures, has taught me anything:

Its not about anything except that I thought it was interesting. I did not know that 100% nicotine can poison people just from opening it! But lots of things are bad in massive amounts. Also to inform people to be careful if handling 72mg/ml or higher liquid if they try to make DIY juice. I think I will stick with the 54mg/ml. Sorry I just started vaping a few days ago and I have gone into mad scientist research mode.

Funny because I was posting on here about spilling nicotine on your skin and I poured a whole tank of e-liquid on my hand by mistake a few hours ago... trying to fit a new washer when there was already one fitted :/ Was only 1.5ml of 16mg liquid... Not given me any bad effects just made me stimmed and cannot sleep lol. Definately does have an effect if you spill it on your skin, but not a bad one at that amount.
Hmmm I have been vaping a lot the last few days and now my tongue is all dry and I get this horrible thick saliva in my mouth, vaping tastes bad. I ran out of the only decent tasting liquid I had, but this Dekang apple was usable, not very nice, but usable. Now it does not taste of anything except this nasty dry tongue and thick saliva taste.... Hmmm maybe I have been vaping too much? Or is it an allergy to PG?

I have some vapology liquids and a Steamgunk tester pack on the way so hopefully the better quality liquids are a lot better than Dekang. Dekang apple and cinnamon are pretty unpleasant tbh, the Vanilla+mint was alright but certainly I will not be buying any Chinese e-liquid again. I think I will go for the DIY with organic flavourings next time, who knows what dodgy **** goes into that chinese stuff lol.
Is it a specific part of the liquid that dries your mouth out? is it the PG? Or does any PG/VG % mix dry your mouth?

It's the PG, which is humectant. You really do need to drink a lot if you're vaping constantly.
What you're experiencing is "vaper's tongue" -- occasionally it'll just stop tasting like anything. Best way around it is to switch flavour for a little while.

Vaper's Tongue is an inevitable part of this habit - drink plenty of water, switch flavours frequently, and have some mouthwash to hand if water isn't clearing out the "film" some juices leave inside your mouth.

Yes it is a bit unpleasant, sort of dry tongue and thick saliva in your mouth, would using a high VG liquid stop this? I think I got a bit carried away with the chain vaping as I got a new toy to play with, I will try to vape less to avoid the "vapers tongue"

I find anything above 50% VG makes it worse for me, nice 50/50 mix is a nice balance at keeping the dry mouth at bay, also pickup a strong menthol juice, that will waken your taste buds up and refresh your mouth to some degree, i vape menthol sensation (cant remember who by) for 4 hours before switching juices or when i need to wake the mouth up a bit, just use a little dripper and a few pulls will sort you out.
Thanks, the juices I ordered are 50/50 so that should be alright. That's probably another good thing about DIY, you can experiment with different strengths / ratios etc. Without spending £5 on a 10ml bottle. Although if I keep getting this "vaper's tongue" I am not sure if I want to vape at all

It does pass, sort of get used to it, i dont notice it as much these days, but then again ive been at it for 3 years now (crikey thats a while lol) and even more shocking im still learning lol
On another note, i love my Kayfun LiteV1 so ive just bought the + version hehe, my Paps 2.5 switch+top cap will be sold this week sometime, just going to included the paps 2.1 18650 tube and my JM22 18350 tube with it, no point selling each one, as the JM22's switch is crap and barely fires. Time to hunt for a replacement, may get a PapsX but a Nemesis and Kick2 seems the likely replacement.
Contacted Stig on UKV about his DNA mod, 3 week build time, hoping to hear back soon.
