Sorry bud, you've got a heck of a lot more reading and Youtube watching to go before you knock me off my perch :p

Before hailing the Vision Spinner VV Ego as the budget vaping nirvana - at least understand the difference between VV & VW... 1.8 ohm coils should never need to taste burned - in fact, I've got a 1.3ohm, dual coiled Igo-W dripper sat on my Fasttech.com 1100mah EGO-T and it is a little pocket - rocket.

I have the new Aspire BDC Glassomizer making it's way to me from www.celticvapes.co.uk (Kernow Vaping) from the most Excellent Gary Thomas - hailed as the poor (or tight: my strictly prohibited vaping budget is entirely self-imposed and not at anything at all to do with my wife having my testicles on her key chain!) mans' Kayfun Lite...

Before you can say something is excellent, you need to be able to compare it to higher end gear to make that assessment fairly. I'm fortunate enough to have a bachelor best mate with zero laserbeam stares at the back of his head in order to curb his spending, so I get the opportunity to try out the latest high end kit, without needing a 2nd mortgage...

I shall post up my thoughts on the Aspire, with my usual blunt honesty, once I've had a good going over it
:)

As for cheap samples, Smoke Rainbow is ok if you're after mass produced (Hangsen, Liqua, Dekang etc) and the odd cheaply made flavour base in 1ml samples for 50p, but it's not such good value compared to £1.49 for 10ml tasters of custom mixed, with a higher choice of VG:PG ratios and Nicotine content, plus 90p p&p (when buying just 10ml tasters) or 60ml for £7.25 from Www.joosejuice.co.uk

Or really take a chance of saving money and try www.yaeliq.com = 100ml for $18 (free DHL if you spend over $50)

Or complete control of what goes into your juice at https://8bitvape.co.uk/?p=home

NB: All custom/made to order juice will benefit from a good couple of weeks steeping before they are ready to vape.
Don't expect a complex, multilayered, custom made recipe from 8bitvape.co.uk to taste perfect the day it's delivered - this is why higher end juice, such as Snake Oil, costs more, because it's batch-steeped, requiring stock space etc...

I was not claiming I am an expert on it lol, I have only been interested in it for a week or so... I do understand the difference between VV and VW though (i think). I am sure the more expensive items are an improvement... but I think it is probably diminishing returns in actual performance after the you have something which can do VV and a chart to look up the wattage although Maybe I am wrong..

There are a few decent ones on smokerainbow, I ordered the Steamgunk pack and a couple of other ones just to see what flavours I like, apparently they are a pretty good new UK based brand, but I wont be buying Dekang again that is for sure. I think after the samples and some other juice I bought from "vapology" I might just get into DIY'ing it because juice gets quite expensive when you are buying it 30ml at a time.

Thanks for the links anyway I might give them a try as well.... Joosejuice looks well priced... Not sure how difficult it really is to get nice tasting juice DIY, if I follow the instructions from grizwalds FAQ thing they should turn out OK I guess... I'm sure there is a learning curve and a bit of an art to it, but it cannot be THAT difficult surely!

Don't take my post seriously - other than the information contained within. The point was to explain the whole Vaping as a hobby, as opposed to purely a tobacco habit replacement, is one long, constantly evolving, learning process. For each new device, be it a €400 Mark Bugs Wizard Evolved, or a £10 Aspire BDC, or anything in between, there will be those that hail it as the latest and greatest (plus their followers) and feel need to flog all their previous latest & greatest in order to fund the purchase (much like PC enthusiasts that absolutely *have* to have the latest components) and those that see the industry for what it is - a young, growing and changing week by week...

You're absolutely right on the diminishing returns of higher end kit - again, the comparison to PC components is appropriate - after all, there's only so much vapour/nicotine/warmth one can inhale at a time and a 1300mAh Ego with a reasonably low resistance coil (1.5 being about as low as I'd comfortably go on a single coiled atomiser) will pretty much provide that.

But - once it has become a hobby/interest, then the desire for something better crafted, or limited edition, or more customisable (the Kraken's airflow control being a good example), or more interchangeable with other devices (the LB Mods Versa Hybrid) starts to become a large part of the hobby.

It all comes down to what you want from Vaping - stick with a 1300mAh Vision Twist with the Aspire BDC Glassomizer (currently hailed as the poor man's Kayfun Lite) if it meets your needs and keeps you off the stinkies...

Being a Data Addict, I like to keep informed of the new developments in vaping gear and although my Aspire is in the post, to sit on my EGO-T - I'm also putting my funds aside (slowly) for a Wizard Evolved & Wand combo - purely because I think it's a fantastic piece of engineering and in the 5 minutes I had the use of one, I was hooked (and was incredibly tempted to not hand it over :p)

TL;DR : You can NRT with a cig-a-like, but it takes decent kit to be a Vapist

Can anyone recommend a good USA tobacco liquid. I've tried quite a few different ones with my favourite so far being the VIP USA Mix liquid. A lot that I try just taste of hazel nuts or something like that, I've really struggled to find anything that is nice.

Ah, which one did you get? I'll be interested in what you think...

I got one of these to try, dunno if its a dodgy head or what but no amount of cleaning/soaking etc can get rid of the metal-ish nasty taste it has.

They all use the same heads so i'll be interested in your opinion. :)

Just had a though NirK, do an autopsy on one of your heads when you're finished with it. Pull the bottom metal plug out and prise the silicon/rubber bung out. Is it singed?

Anyone have any juice suggestions? im after some interesting flavours -_- none of the ususal typical stuff you see on generic sites liek strawberry and coffee and all that.

Anyone know were I can find some of the custom made branded juices.

Think in the leagues of snake oil etc.

Those look interesting... Seem to have good reviews.... I have a tester pack on the way, not actually tried them yet...

Have you already tried Scope's stuff, his apple tart and raspberry flavour is particularly good. His blueberry is pretty nice too.

I've got 100ml of blueberry, raspberry, apple tart and GVC sitting on my desk, NOM NOM NOM

Yeh no prob, its interesting all the different devices available, not sure if it is more "new toy syndrome" than actual improvements in the vapour production and flavour?

Yes this is what I mean, once the battery is producing the correct volts / watts / for the resistance consistently... I am not sure what else it could do to make it better, then there is getting the best tank available, the different types etc. Although from what I have read the protank 2 mini is one of the better ones. Why do you use a low ohm atomiser / voltage instead of a higher ohm with a higher voltage?

But - once it has become a hobby/interest, then the desire for something better crafted, or limited edition, or more customisable (the Kraken's airflow control being a good example), or more interchangeable with other devices (the LB Mods Versa Hybrid) starts to become a large part of the hobby.

I would like to get a top of the range one just because it is fun to use... Sort of like an expensive watch... Still does the same thing pretty much but is just nicer to use :D But I am skint at the moment so I think the best I can do is the Spinner battery.

Have you compared a spinner + protank 2 mini to more expensive VV/VW models? How does it compare?

TL;DR : You can NRT with a cig-a-like, but it takes decent kit to be a Vapist

That's what I bought - in SS, so I can stick it on the rest of my gear if it really is *that* good.

As for NirK's question about lower res coil rather than higher res but more voltage - the answer is simply because a) I don't have a functioning VV/VW device at the moment and b) lower res at the same volts appears to discharge a battery slower than higher res at higher volts...

letting both my belgian waffle and pistachio flavours to steep on top of my wardrobe with the lids off. how long should i wait? really tempted to clean the arctic mint out my tank now and shove some in!

lol, yet another piece of kit I hear about first from this thread :) Looks great value, will add to my list of stuff to buy next. Great value by the looks of it too, sub £10 with two spare heads

ty again, Red :)

No problem buddy - Gary's great to deal with and he'll even take it out of the box and post large letter, rather than charge £3 for small parcel

I really want a Satburn 22, but for now the IGO-W is doing well. Will probably pick up a Helios dripper or get a 22mm top cap for the W which bograt is making on UKV. Decisions.

Here is my MCR-101

Right anyone tell me what this snake oil is like?? fancy a change in my liquids. If anyone is interested, i have a 30ml bottle of banana creme e juice that hasnt been touched so if anyone wants to give it a go then feel free to message me via trust.

But would really like some opinions on snake oil, sadly he doesnt do 10ml tester bottles so not sure if i should spend a lot of money on a juice that i may not like.

Any opinion??

These from Joose Juice? At least a week. Tasting is what drippers + cotton wick are perfect for though ;)

Still, leave them in peace to rest :p
