Oh dear lol, is the sound that bad then ? in the video it sounded ok to me.
I'm wondering about it. There's almost nothing to loose I guess.
The sound isn't terrible, just not as good as the S4 or Moto G. I did wonder if this mod is only for people that are effected by a certain issue... I guess it is.
Also, the 'buying new speaker on eBay' might only be better for those with the 'issue'.
Thanks guys, it's good to hear people enjoy them/have use for them. I spent around 8 hours making video's today! (A couple more set to release over the next couple of days too)

People said that the mod only really helped fix those that had a "glue" issues from the manufacturing process. Too much glue being used or seeping out and muffling sound.
Please do try the other speaker it looks like a far easier mod with you basically just swapping it out.
Also the file you used to test sound seemed rather short and basic.
Possibly try a longer more variable file? Maybe just me but it sounded as if it relied on bass maybe a file with more treble would have been more suitable

You're talking about a phone's specs on paper not its technical ability (which is much vaguer).
If the g2 was running android 2.1 would it be a technically better phone? No. So the software a phone uses is relevant. The g2 can't really touch the nexus 5 in this capacity; it is a mish mash of design aesthetic and function. The rear buttons are odd at best and the skin is confusing. It is stillbabgreat phone but distilling one phone or another purely to the sum of their paper specification is willfully ignorant.
Its shocking how much nicer it is with a lower value, to the point where I'm actually a bit surprised it doesn't come stock with a slightly lower value!

How are you changing the density?
System > build.prop > search for density
No, cm mod is just the latest os, but with tweaks, way more options /customisations and a fantastic selection of stock apps.
I wish my Nexus 5 had it
oh and for those that want lower density screen on your N5(imo stock is way to high for this resolution)

click build.prop editor
find "ro.sf.lcd_density"
change from 480 to 380(if you want the same as my example screenshot)
allow the app to reboot the phone..

The above methods are the manual way of doing it, but I've been using the app "Textdroider.dpi". It's free and simple.
I'm a bit confused. So, a lower value means you can fit more 'stuff' on the screen? I would've thought a higher value i.e. more dense would mean smaller icons/text and therefore more stuff?
It's a bit weird in how it actually happens, but basically you're tricking the OS into thinking the screen resolution is different to what it actually is, and then the OS scales the OS.
But you're correct, a lower DPI value means you can fit more stuff on screen. You can think of it as just zooming out. I tried to find some comparison pictures online, but there aren't really any good ones around.
