***The Official LG Optimus G2 Thread***

What kind of battery life are you guys getting?

Just had over 4hr screen screen time with 24hr battery time. This is with straight out if the box. Tonight will be its first proper charge.

It'll only get better from here Mate. I'm easily getting 5hrs plus screen time on with 36-48 hours battery time from mid-heavy use.

The battery on this is tremendous. I also have a Sony Xperia Z Ultra which has the same battery capacity as the G2 but the G2 just pours down on it from a great height. LG have done a great job optimising the software to use the battery in a frugal manner.

Thanks for pointing Gravitybox out to me Mate. There's a massive thread over at XDA about it and it sounds very promising. I take it you install the Gravitybox apk alongside Xposed in the G2/settings app and you're good to go?

Yep, there's some settings in G2 Settings that I disable and allow Gravitybox to control that there's no conflict, like navbar changes. I prefer to have the statusbar changes in G2 Settings (like volume/brightness toggle+hide) - otherwise I would remove it completely.

Statusbar is transparent, and icon colours slightly changed. Clock is hidden - I did have it centred and only to appear on screens outside of home, but then I thought the clock is on the piecontrols anyway, so I've hidden it completely.
Navbar hidden, replaced with piecontrols.
Nova launcher with adjusted columns+rows, smaller icons. Folders on desktop. A few with swipe-ups to directly launch apps like Google Now search

Stock works for me. No need for a ROM (until 4.4 appears maybe).

Not even had it 24 hours yet but it seems great, havnt found any problems with it. Batt life is awesome and i ive only given it one proper charge, been pounding the phone all morning watching hd tv shows, playing fairly intensive games and not seen a single stutter from this little beast yet.

just got this case today: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151159967993?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

free delivery that came next day, comes with a screen protector, a cloth and a blue anti dust sticker to use before adding the screen protector

i couldn't find any real life pics on the net so thought id upload them

i was hoping for a lip on the front so i could lay the phone screen side down but it doesn't have it, well it does but its very very small

has a nice feel to is, more slippery than "sticky" though, makes the phone easier to hold then naked imo and most of itall doesn't effect the screen protector.

Ok, just came across another cool app that's works perfect with the g2

Lux screen brightness. Probably old news but just tried it and it's 1000% better than the built in one and customisable to hell and back lol

yeah i bought the same case from amazon..how is the screen protector? did not use mine yet..the case just sits around as i am using either Diztronic or Nekeda case now :D

by the way, how do you solve the peeled screen protector issues when using Diztronic case? didnt have any issue when using Nekeda case tho..

i use wake on, although its my full proper day of using it, seems fine so far

will test more features over time,

edt: do you have any pics of your nekeda case mate? where did you order from and so they fit the D802 model?

it says jelly case, does it have a soft touch?

bought it from http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-LG-G2-S...r-/251361797770?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

perfectly fitted my D802 no problemo:)

Oh, and since I have both Nekeda & Diztronic might as well provide some comparison. Diztronic is thin and lighter..I like the Nekeda design too and as you can see it doesnt affect my screen protector..back surface is at least grippy than glossy back cover..and although its flexible, its quite rigid i would say..
