Just had this bad boy.

done of those ages ago and even posted a pic of it and if iirc you commented on it.

IMPORTANT

It has come to my attention that vapertrain maybe selling fake AW IMR's. I'm getting confirmation from AW if the pics I sent them of the batteries I bought are genuine or not. If they are fake I shall start a Paypal dispute and ask that people avoid using them until I get confirmation.

Edit 1)

These are authorized resellers:
-UK Ecig Store
-Cloud9 Vaping
- The Photon Shop
-http://www.ecigwizard.com/accessories/bc/mod-batteries/
-http://www.flashaholics.co.uk/

Update

There has been some behind the scene drama an several email exchanges between myself and VaperTrain, despite VT admitting they don't stock fakes and buy all their stock straight from the manufacturer's and not from third party resellers, AW confirmed the batteries I have are fake.

So if they want to take liable court action that is between them and AW now.

See AW's response:
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/sh...50-IMR18490-IMR18650-IMR26500-*Part-2*/page47

I have left VT with the above link and requested a refund. Let's see what they say now, otherwise I will proceed with a PP dispute.

Out of curiosity, how can you tell if they're fakes?

Was just wondering that myself, I've got a good few AW IMR's from Vape Escape, Manju, could you ask if they are likely to be fake too if you dont mind? I dont have an account at CPF. Thanks.

Andrew Wan has confirmed they are fake so that is good enough for me. How to spot a fake? I have no idea, but I'll ask.

edit - see updated thread over there.

Just got a reply from Jason @ Vape Escape....

Our batteries all come direct from Andrew Whan.

AW batteries have been copied for the last 3 years and the giveaway is usually the price. There is next to no profit in genuine AW, so if you see them at a silly cheap price – they are either a loss leader or a fake.

Hope that helps

Jason

Vape Escape and Vapegear from the pics have the same genuine batteries without the ROHS, CE stuff.

I "think" that is how you'd distinguish they are genuine. But Andrew will confirm.

@window - Is that a custom made VTR?

Please can you tell me what is the best to buy to use as a flavour wick for the protank 2 mini? I want to buy some cotton or silica whichever is best and make my own flavour wicks.

Cotton wick (FOR ME) has been a royal pain in the rear to get working properly in the Protank, so, I would suggest (IF YOUR NEW TO COILING) to try Silica, 3mm. I got mine from Vapemeshcompany or something...

You don't need a flavour wick if you get the wick inside the coil right. I use cotton now in my DBOX (Pretty much a big Protank) and it is a lot more flavourful than silica.

I do not want to recoil the actual coil, I just want to get some material that I can use to replace the flavour wicks that come with the heads as they get gunked up / fall apart easily.... I would like to try making my own coils at some point but I have already spent about £100 in 2 weeks when I was planning to spend about £40! If I dry burn and clean the stock coils they seem alright... But could probably be better. Making DIY coils I will need an ohm tester right? And this is another £20 I cannot really afford at the moment. Does it make any difference with the flavour wicks using cotton / silica etc? Also what mm should I get? What about this stuff? >>>

On another subject.... Got about 10 different testers from Joosejuice today.... Only tried the spearmint so far... Nice and minty... Very impressed with the service / prices / postage speed from there, looks like I will be using them in future, thanks for the tip :) I will post some reviews of the flavours when I have let them steep for a bit.... Seriously though I need to stop buying vaping stuff now!

just received my nemesis clone finally and centre pin is meant to be telescopic and had a flat head on it but it doesn't push down AT ALL and the pin is bloody hard to attempt to undo. also none of my batteries seem to fit in it and there's a lot of wobble room, am I meant to tighten this pin down?
I would have thought so as my KFL and their dripper both have Huge clearance issues but wanted to check before I broke something as I've been waiting 6 weeks....

need pics to know what you're on about. :D

Both ends should have pins that are telescopic.
It may need some fettling with the switch to make contact with the battery. Removing the beauty ring is advised in one video I remember watching ages ago.

I also have a nemisis clone.
The centre pin is a screw, so loosen it, fit atty, tighten centre pin
Also there is a tiny screw on ring section of the tube, about 1-2mm, (beauty ring), remove it
Also u can adjust the bottom, up or down to help fit with battery.
There is also a kick ring included, dont use it unless you are using a kick :p

That screw at the top feels like the hulk did it up, it wont budge.
