If you cant get hold of some GVC ie grants vanilla custard as it is near impossible to get hold of and when they do come into stock...they usually go pretty quick. But an alternative and one of my fave vapes is Kings Custard...pretty similar to GVC imho.
For me my main 3 vapes at the moment are GVC, Kings Custard and scopes raspberry which is heavenly. Also Snake oil is another favourite of mine although i wouldnt say its an all day vape for me, works great as a palette cleanser.

Cheers Moggy, I've just made my first microcoil with cotton. I decided to start with 0.25mm Kanthal - 11 wraps gave me 2.65Ω. It went surprisingly well; no mistakes which, if you know me, would come as a bit of a shock
I definitely notice more vapour but at the moment, I'm not finding the flavour much better than ekowool. Maybe the cotton needs a few more toots to break in.
I've got a few old heads washed and rinsed so I'll have a bit more of a session and do those too. Will be so much easier replacing the cotton than having to make a complete new wick/coil every week or two
You'll get more flavour when you bring the resistance down. You'll need 28AWG (0.3mm) Kanthal - 8 wraps is between 1.5 and 1.8 (depending on how long the legs are), which I find is the sweet spot for ProTanks!

After realising how easy it actually was to microcoil, I did 5 more protank heads with 0.3. All about 10/11 wraps with resistances varying from 1.7 to 2Ω. I'll let you know how I find the flavour in comparison to the 0.25 coil I'm using now.I'll be doing my remaining 3 protank heads and my two drippers later today hopefully.

Good for you mate - another tip is to remember to prime the cotton before filling - or you'll be waiting a good few minutes for the cotton to soak...

Ah yes, I put a drop on the coil and a little on both ends before sitting it in the protank and leaving it for a minute or two.
Been following this on and off, and I'm very ready to get into vaping.
The only factor I can't seem to find solid answers on, are the health implications. I'm certain it's healthier than smoking, especially for your lungs... But odd stories regarding the chemicals in liquids? Any health problems arisen?

Nope not for me there hasnt other than the dreaded vapers tongue which isnt life threatening.
But ive been vaping since July now and i feel much more healthier than i was with cigs.
At the moment i dont think there are any long term health reports/surveys that have been done as vaping is relatively new. But i think majority of vapers will say they feel much more healthier.
As for liquids?? stick with the uk ones and u should be fine.
Pretty much this. We don't have long term studies because they haven't been around long enough. We know that vaping is much safer than smoking but that is about as much as we can say. I've been vaping for about 3 or 4 years now and can say I feel better for it. There are many people out there that will agree, but that isn't fact based research just the word of users.
We know PG, nic, and VG are fairly (read really) safe. Flavouring we don't know much about.
I was looking at this the other day... PG is safe if you are not allergic to it, VG is quite safe but I would not use much (eg. chain vaping 5ml+ a day) because I am not convinced that it is safe in these amounts.... Some flavorings can be dangerous apparently but there has not been enough research except for the "popcorn lung" thing. I don't think it is harmless but it is definitely a lot better than smoking anyway.
Unfortunately it looks like it may all be banned anyway due to the greedy tobacco companies which coincidentally at the same time this ban has been proposed have started producing their own e-cigarettes, wow what a coincidence, but yes the argument that it is to save the kiddies from smoking does make a lot of sense and I doubt that this has anything at all to do with tobacco companies and tax revenues... Definitely they did not just make that reason up to appeal to clueless, daily mail reading housewives whilst conveniently probably giving the entire e-cig market to the tobacco companies

Yes. They closed the forum and had an announcement on there to help people understand what life would be without the forum and how it will end up if vaping is banned as we know it. Also to try and shake members out of apathy into doing something about it rather than scouring the classifieds looking for shinies and thinking the sun will always be shining. Whether that's taking to twitter, signing petitions, contacting their MEPs, writing/visiting their MPs or better still, all.
The twitterbomb last night was testament to what can be done in a single hour to get the message across to people that we're just a little bit unhappy about EU proposals to effectively place the defacto ban on vaping.
I know not everyone shares the same feeling about how the EU should be tackled but IMO it was a very good move by the UKVapers people. At the very least it made people step back and feel how things may and will become in the future if the EU proposals go through. No more UKVapers forum, no more any vaping forum and very likely this thread will be closed.

As for the Kick - you're spot on. You can use it to ramp the wattage right up (to 15W on the v2, provided that your battery can handle the high Amps) and create some major heat and clouds, or set it to a lower Wattage and keep a more consistent vape - which also makes the battery last longer. It's an excellent device, especially if you're not looking to sub-ohm coil, but wouldn't mind a bit more control over the heat/power...
I do not even vape that much but this makes me irritated out of principle, just another reason for me to be annoyed about the people that run the EU. Honestly there is no way that this has anything to do with stopping children smoking (ok maybe a bit), they could easily stop children getting them or put restrictions to stop them. This decision by the EU has really irritated me, firstly because it is idiotic to keep smoking legal but ban vaping, secondly because of the way they have gone about it and thirdly because this shows how corrupt the people who run the EU are. Maybe I am wrong about this but it certainly looks like that to me.
Just as this has been decided in court I have read about benson and other brands now making their own e-cigarettes as they said "this is a good time for growth". So that pretty much confirms that this is about money and tax revenues and has little to do with public health or children. It is now a "good time for growth" for them, because they have just effectively killed any competition and got the entire cigarette / tobacco market back to themselves (It might not happen but it looks like that currently).

Haven't smoked a cigarette since yesterday morning, wish I'd started this ages ago now! Had a bit of an issue with one of my Evods leaking through the mouth piece though, I found a youtube vid of how to fix it by taking one of the rubber sealing things off of a spare clearomizer head and stacking it on top of the one on the clearomizer you're using, seems to have done the trick for now.
