my initial thoughts after playing - ofc have not seen all there is to offer since no way I am close to having completed the game. got IA license so far and up to Goodwood 3rd series (seems getting gold is fairly easy on first try, and I am just an average driver - only one I had to redo several times was the Aston One 77 - that car is a handful - understeers and doesn't brake)
1. Likes
- still stunning graphics, perhaps even better than GT5.
- track list is awesome; hopefully DLC will add some more real world tracks
- removed the used car dealership which was lame to begin with. now you have just dealership and select the cars
- Vision GT - some cool original concept cars you can purchase - al least the Merc for now
- you can mod car and buy parts when you entered a race (don't have to leave race and go through all menus to GT auto)
- no more XP grind or B-Spec nonsense
- seems no more 24hr races - I don't mind 2hr races (even can stretch to a 4hr) but anything above was ridiculous imo
- fewer loading screens
2. Dislikes
- engine car sounds are bad, this was expected; however I didn't expect the tyre squealing sounds to be so annoying
- too many useless cars - ie x amount of Mazda roadsters, Nissan Skylines etc... can't tell the difference between the versions. it's filler and a waste
- seems no more Ferrari F1

instead we get a moonbuggy WTF !
- livery editor - basically non existent. still need to collect paint chips to paint cars
- coffee break/goodwood/moon events are a complete waste and I wish PD would have used that time to concentrate on quality over quantity
- AI still dire
- not a fan of PD making in-game credits a DLC commodity. makes me think grind or cough up. probably explains why we don't win as many cars for finishing/winning events like we did in GT5
- The T500RS - seems the R1 and R2 do not work in menu - shocking oversight since this is the official GT series wheel. hope this is patched ASAP. Also the "on the fly menu" is no longer there (menu where you could adjust brake balance, TC etc... during race)
I haven't tested seasonal or online racing yet
Can't say if car handling is better since the cars I have raced so far are cars I am not familiar with
Overall I am enjoying the game (except ear piercing tyre sounds) if you liked GT5 then GT6 should be up your alley. I friggin love Bathurst, that track is a blast
