sexually propositioned in an online game

you seem like you need to give it the big'un, bashing people and robbing and cheating in is not golden, its a bit sad, particularly in regards to video games, what are you 15?

Think cHk4 is 'trolling', either that or he is a massive bellshine

And no, you didn't steal £10,000's worth of stuff

What game is it exactly?

In the early 2000's I sold thousands of pounds of items in Everquest, back then it was entirely possible, the in game currency was worth a lot as well, Used to get $150 per 100k of in game currency. Even accounts used to sell for a few thousand. It was an entirely different era of mmo's.

Like most things I bet there is some truth to the stories, they may just be slightly over embellished... I could see some of the stuff happening, I mean some of the stuff on jeremy kyle is more unbelievable than the above.

I remember reading about a WOW account, nightelf I believe which sold for 7 or 8k... alas the company found out and 3 days later the account was banned... but yeah definitely did happen

I still sell things in games for $1000+ it doesn't mean I find it likely he had an IRL meet up with some person and stole $10k worth of stuff and walked away with no repercussions.

Yea' that's one way to look at it, as you and me have had this discusion before I'm sure, I enjoy winding people up in MMOs, 13 years on people still see me in games and say "Didn't you play Mir2? And run that guild DooM?" can you honestly say anyone has ever remembered you or a guild you run? I doubt it.

Anyway I'll leave this thread now as I don't narrow minded people who haven't experienced the golden age of MMOs wouldn't even begin to comprehend the stuff that went on in those games inside and out.

No I don't think we have (I think the only interaction I've had with you is asking about your DBZ tattoos and well whilst I found that odd but nothing that strange it sort of just paints a picture of you now that is rather embarrassing.), yes I've been recognised in several games/servers several years on from CS/WoW/GW I don't think it counts for very much other than the fact I put some more effort into a game or talked to people, nor would I see being a recognised as a massive **** anything to go by to be honest, I'm sure Ian Watkins will be remembered in 13 years.

Golden Age MMO doesn't have too much to do with being an absolute bell or those IRL situations you described, I mean if they are real you were dumb enough to get with that woman for several months?

Believe it was the first guy with double glaives, find it rather absurd someone paid that for it considering the drop rate wasn't that bad nor was it something as difficult as yogg+0, but then again a dota courier went for $36k a few weeks back albeit very rare wasn't the most sought after.

Why should we be locked in a dark room?

because you seem to think is funny to have scammed and possibly (not sure on the legal stand point) sexually black mailed people.

I'm sorry but that's not funny or entertaining. and as for Golden age of MMO's, don't make me laugh - what's golden about anything you are claiming to have done or been a part of what has happened to these people you talk about

strange way to get your jollies, but hey each to their own :p

Some of you in this thread must be quite naive if you think some of the things cHk4 is talking about don't actually happen in these games.

Unfortunately there are no women in Eve Online, so unless you're gay, being propositioned there is not a good thing.

Generally in MMOs, if I see a female character dressed in anything sexual or revealing, I assume male.

Even more so if 'she' starts to flirt or behave provocatively straight off....it's a bloke taking the [/COLOR]* and seeing how far he can go so he can have a good laugh with his mates later.

When I play a female character, I always dress her for the part and think practical. So do most other female players though that doesn't mean they'll make her unattractive.

And I played a lot of Lord of the Rings Online....I know at least four couples that met through that. In fact I brought one of the couples together in my kinship :D Team Fortress too.....I know about three. I'm not going into the crap of gaming girls being unattractive...we all know that's nonsense and there is a total diversity.

I used to play a game called Pimpwar, online browser game, played it since I was 15, with adult permission as you have to be 18 to play.

When I was 20 ish I got friendly with a female who lives in the USA, have done everything on webcam etc except meet up, as she lives in Alabama and I live, well in England.

I don't speak to her anymore just drifted apart, but she is on my FB still. I google'd her the other day and she had 2 arrests a few years ago for carrying knuckleduster and DUI, got to love the US and it's transparency crime policies!

This is her. Would have been nice to meat her but ho hum!

I'm still not so sure i believe you 86JR.
As we know, girls don't use the internet.... so this story loses some plausibility.

Invite her to england, Greet and Meat her then report back.
