Got myself one of the new innokin cool fire 1's(as an xmas present to myself:D) and i'm really impressed by it, it vapes at a constant 8.5 watts, which is what i vape at when using my mvp.

What i'm not to impressed with is the vape time of the efest 18350 batteries i got with it, when i'm using a 1.8ohm coil i get around 4 hours out of one battery, and even though this is my first mod that uses removable batteries i was expecting them to last a lot longer:mad:

Get some 18650 then... they have 2.5x more capacity

What Mah are they rated at?

800mah, when using a 1.8ohm coil the 8.5 watts produces around 3.9v, i was expecting more because my 650mah ego battery lasts about 6hrs using a similar resistance coil.

I've googled the expected vape time using a 18350 and most results suggest around 3-4 hours, the only saving grace is they only take about 1 1/2 hours to fully charge.

Regulated devices use more power in my experience and drain the batteries faster. I can easily go a whole day when using my Nemesis in 18350 mode.

So looking at those results, that is to be expected. If you want long life, grab some Panasonic 18650's.

Update on the new juices Northern Vapour's "Fruit Salad" really does taste like the Fruit Salad chews after vaping for a while; very nice. The Epic Juice's "Main Squeeze" is Sherbet Lemon drops all day; takes me back to 1980. :)

Hmm on Fastech they have a lot of RBA's... Some clones and some authentic ones, can anyone tell me what would be the best RBA to get and if it would be a significant improvement from a protank 2? There is Kayfun 3.1 clone, Authentic RSST etc.

Thinking I might get a Itaste SVD, nitecore charger and one of the RBA's... But I don't know which is the best? I have some Kanthal 0.2mm and some 1.5 and 2mm ekowool... Will these work with the RBA's?

They are just so shiny and smooth looking I don't think I can resist much longer :) Would a Itaste SVD and a RBA be a significant improvement over a Vision spinner 1300 + protank 2? Obviously they are better for other reasons but the quality of the flavour / vape?

Just be careful with fasttech, read the reviews.
As i have seen a few complaints lately about kayfun clones turning up with the centre pin broken.
Have also read that some of the decks on the kayfuns and some of the drippers are just chrome plated brass, which afaik is a big no no in vaping.
I got my kafun clone from modsandatties.com, iirc their about £35, but its at your door in under 48hrs and it is all SS.
Once i vaped a kayfun, i could never do a clearo again lol

Think I will stick with the protank 2 and rebuild my own protank heads for now. I hope that the itaste SVD on fasttech is actually genuine because I think I will pick one of those up and a nitecore charger etc.

That will be manual EVOD battery to vision spinner 1300mah to itaste SVD mod in 3 weeks lol. Should have just got the mod first. When I have got a VV mod I am going to ban myself from any more upgrades!

If anyone from the lounge is still around, please clarify something for me.
When changing juice flavours, (I want to remove the remaining juice in my tank and fill with something else), I'm unclear if I need to do the whole process of taking apart the bottom coil thing, cleaning the flavour wick or wicks with a paper towel (don't how many are in mine yet) and dry burn the coil? Or shall I just rinse out the EVOD tank with water, dry it as best as I can and fill with another juice? Current juice has only been in since yesterday, that was the first ever fill.

I'm also advised to be careful if I use my banana juice, as banana flavours are known to crack tank glass?

It depends on how important it is not to taste the previous flavour - if you're just switching to a similar type or theme e.g Raspberry to Strawberry, Custard to Creme Brulee, Menthol to another Menthol... Either just refill and enjoy the brief combo (I discovered Apple Tart and Accie's Ambrosia makes a fantastic mix this way)...
Or if you want minimal effort Then just a flush through with hot water and take the opportunity to dry-burn the crud off the coil.

If you're switching from flavour group to another e.g. Menthol to Custard - then I'd be cleaning and soaking the lot - Isopropyl Wipes, dry burn or even take the time to recoil, and don't forget to lose the flavour wick (or at least reduce it).

And YES, Bananana (other fruit/citrus flavours do too!) can crack plastic/polycarbonate. So buy Pyrex tanks in future, for not much more. Or upgrade and check out the Davide-S with Aspire BDC Glassomizer or the latest (fugly) Aspire BDC version Todd's just reviewed (should be on YT shortly)...

^^ or just buy another tank, they're cheap enough and that's what I do with my rbas (have one for each type of juice). I also have a couple of rdas for when I want to try different types of juices.

Oh btw I saw the 3D dripper by Atmomixani and the engraving put me off. Shame really but I have bought the Origen instead :D

Funny you should mention that, i've been using joosejuice banana in my iclear30 for the past month and its worked fine, so i decided to put it in my new iclear30 b which is also plastic and after about an hour it cracked it, only a slight crack and its still usable, but i thought the iclear30 top coil was fine so the 30b should be fine to, i guess not :D

Yeh, or if you have some coils you can keep one coil for different flavours and swap them around, eg. 1 for menthol, 1 for fruit, 1 for tobacco etc...

Pffft all i do with my protank when changing flavours is just wash it through with warm water, unscrew the head and wash that out...wipe it down, dry burn it and then fill the tank up with another flavour...ok still get a hint of the previous juice in it but after a few mins of vaping..it all but disappears.

Yeah, but...

We all started with the thorough cleaning process - then we either do what Majnu said, or get "lazy" one time and think "Meh. So the flavours lingered a bit" (/chuffchuffchuff), or a bit of the two...

@majnu - nice purchase - did you consider the Versa? I agree the Origen looks great, I'm just a fan of clean lines with minimal fuss (and most of my kit reflects this) - the Versa Hybrid was right up my street. Just a pity I'm friends with the creator of the Cobra Ti Hybrid, the top deck of which Luxe Mods has totally copied (to within 0.01mm!)... Shame, because there's no denying that it's a stunning bit of kit.

Enjoy the Origen - should be as easy to set up as a KFL!

I'm wondering if anyone can offer some advice to a n00b?!!

Basically my missus wants to cut down on how much she smokes and spends a week. It isn't that high and she spends about £20 a week and about 70 cigs smoked a week.

She has tried e-cigs (http://www.e-lites.co.uk/) but didn't like them so now she wants to try the ones where you can change flavours etc.

Is there an ideal starter kit? Or can anyone recommend a good purchase for her to try it out?

Thanks. :)

I did, but it seems you can hold a bit more juice in the Origen. I also would have loved the Strata but it doesn't have a 510 connection and Super T aren't know for producing things quick.
