Has the DRM being fully removed from the game, including if bought on steam?

I think it is still there, but it is almost impossible to run out of activations. 3 activation limit and 1 generate per month, plus if you email support they can reset them for you. Have played 70 hours and not had a single problem.

As soon as I saw this thread at the top again I knew it was gonna be you who had posted in it CaptainRAVE :P Remembered you saying you wanted to reinstall in the daily deals thread and the first thing I said to myself was "I bet it was captainrave who posted". Lo and behold :P

It will never be removed, you will always need uplay to play this. Its a joke tbh

Been using Uplay quite a bit the last couple of days after getting this from the uplay store for a tenner and getting Black Flag free with a gpu, and I've come to quite like it. Doesn't seem to get in the way of itself or anything and is quite fast to boot up and get straight into a game.

I expect having to use Uplay when playing a game through Steam is a different story though, and not something I have experienced much myself.

^^ unless Uplay needs to update it boots into the game instantly. You barely even see it.

Uplay integration works well with this game. The online features are quite fun as are the various bonuses that you can unlock for free :)

:D

Have been desperate to play this game for ages. I now have my excuse :)

Ended up purchasing the rest of the DLC too.

I'm gonna grab this as I've been meaning to get it for ages and was waiting for it to drop again.

Quick question, so its £4.99 or £9.99 for the complete edition, but it looks like I can pay £4.99 and then buy the complete DLC pack for £2.99. Am I missing something, that will give me the same stuff right?

Also is it worth getting all the DLC? I guess this largely depends on whether I end up liking the game, but I guess I'd regret missing out on the DLC if I do.

As for the uplay discussion, I'd rather it wasn't needed but its never really bothered me much.

The DLC pack seems to lack the Deep Ocean expansion pack (I think).

any decent guides about for this game? the lack of tutorial is making it very hard to understand the huge amount of stuff i can make.

It looks lovely tho, just trying the campaign atm

Try GameFAQs maybe, or just google whatever bits you're stuck on. I agree with you though, some things aren't made very clear and I actually got stuck for months on one of the campaign levels until someone pointed out what I needed to do. Best advice I can give is to use trade routes effectively so you're selling off excess resources otherwise you can tear through your money fast and you end up screwed.

The production chains on there are very useful!

Never bothered much with the campaign myself - mostly just the world events and my own little continuous game :)

If you search youtube for anno 2070 guide and watch the ones by 'NsN', I found this very useful in helping me play the game. It's quite long but worth it. There's a few at an hour each!

Well I've not splurged in months so gone all-in for the £9.99 offer. Still down loading at the moment. I'll install it this evening..:):):)

Other than Kerbal, X-Com was the last proper game a bought and that was over 12 months ago.

Well that's disappointing, this type of game should always have a tutorial in my opinion. :(

I bought this on the sale from Uplays own site ( complete edition ) and decided to have a quick bash a little while ago , during installation/activation despite being bought directly from ubi , i had to enter my own serial key no less than 3 times !!!!! I have no idea why but it's done now . By the time it downloaded and got sorted i was out of time , maybe i can play it tomorrow hahaha!!!
