Completed building the monument in Architect of the Future mission.

Blimey it takes ages to finally build it. Good job they weren't building the London 2012 Olympic Park, or I wouldn't have seen a home Olympics in my lifetime.

Had this game a while as it was on offer & looked good on steam & only just got around to playing it & I must say that I'm loving it

Maybe because I haven't played any games for a few years but I find ANNO2070 amazingly addictive.

Just after 1am this morning I realised the time, thinking it was about half-ten.

Just launched the game for a quick go and I have an activation limit message. My game has been activated and I have been playing for weeks.

I really hate UBi soft... :mad:

I bought this with the steam sale and loved it right up to misson two. I just cant figure out how to sort the oil spill out

You can buy oil disperser from Yana i think it was or someone else

I think I bought 1 in the previous mission then another before the oil spill occurred.

Then put them in your ship go to island and activate them while they are onboard.

It takes 2 to clear up oil spill.

Came in here to ask if they had removed the DRM from the game. Thanks for so aptly answering my question. Time to go buy Age of Empires 2 instead.

Had to give up on the Power Games mission, too difficult so I've been playing a continuous game on medium difficulty since yesterday.

Tip: always keep oil dispersal kits available at all times as oil spills seem a regular occurrence.

Had a tornado blow through my island last night. It stayed demolishing mu island for about five minutes and the graphics are pretty good.

Infuriated, after spending most of yesterday trying to work it out, I have read on ANNO Wiki that Tech faction does not advance past tier 2.

I thought I was missing something obvious and was getting mad with myself for nothing.

On a second point, I had another tornado last night but this one destroyed an entire tech city.

I have read that having a good eco balance prevents or limits the times tornados will strike your island (I am playing on medium) but as my ecobalance on both the islands hit is well above 200 I don't think this is true, as Sokov or whatever his name is drilling oil on a neighbouring with terrible ecobalance and it didn't touch him.

Newb question, like other I picked this up in Steam sales, are missions 'the game' or is 'continuous play' the game?

If I recall the previous Anno games were just continuous play, you build, you explore, you trade and you conquer. Is 2070 not the same?

there is missions menu which allows you to get small perks for your ark
and there is also continuous

And is VERY worth picking up

i've probably spent over 100 hours on this

I say perks , small things like more ark space and an Eden ark(skin) but still worth the playthrough

tbh its like an extended tutorial more than a campaign

nope, you get single missions too which are daily i think....

I just did the campaign and went to continuous

its such a time killer!

Just picked up Deep Ocean. Need to get back into this, such a time sink though!
