is 1404 really better than 2070?

tempted to buy 2070 being newer but seems 1404 has better reviews but 2070 has better upgraded interface etc

ANNO 2070 How to make tools.

Hi All,

I cannot for the life of me work out how to make tools.

I have an Iron Ore mine & coal mine & smelter but don't seem to be able to build a tools workshop or whatever they are.

Driving me bonkers AAAaaghhh!

Help is greatly appreciated.

I am playing eden on continuous

You need a workshop i think it is. increase population to unlock further more advanced buildings.

The way it works is. you start with absolute basics. but your citizens are basic too. with basic needs.

as you fulfil their needs 100% they then "upgrade" to the next tier of citizen who then require further amenities. As you gain more and more you unlock the buildings for that tier of citizen. and so on

Ok you need tier 2 citizens. they appear when you start unlocking tycoon citizens! until they you will have to buy them from other NPC factions through the ark perhaps.

Wow! ANNO 2070

Just completed my first mission on ANNO 2070 (Jorgensen Plateau) and it took 25 hours 59 mins.

So much going on to keep my mind busy which I like.

Fantastic Game that I can see myself playing for days, weeks, months.

Now whether to try next mission or switch to Crysis 3?

I have it, and kinda played through some campaign a bit, maybe on the 3rd or 4th mission. Then I got stuck and couldn't progress after building a casino or something. Then gave up.

I know it makes you want to scream sometimes.

I needed to power my undersea buildings but cant find the right card to trade for from any of the other characters.

Luckily I completed the mission without needing to.

I was massively disappointed with this, I wanted a SimCity type game but it just didn't feel right and I didn't like the UI, it felt too clunky (as ridiculous as that sounds). I think I'll have to try it again :)

I have never played earlier ANNO games and now realise I should have started with the campaigns not missions, as campaigns teach you how to play.

Looking forward to exploring more on a continuos game after I have finished all the campaigns.

Finally finished all the campaigns. Now to carry on with the missions :)

addictive but infuriating, when you cant figure out the blazingly obvious.

Trying to kill FATHER at end of mission took 4 attempts.

still loving the game though. even if I haven't perfected it yet.

yeah i'm still progressing through the campaign, the chapter 2 mission 2 got me, i had to start that whole thing again 3 times before I could finally complete it. it was the constant crippling debt with no direction on how to solve it that was the most frustrating. but it's a proper time sink, thank fudge for the + button :D
