I want something simple like the Kanga but better quality I suppose. Isn't the Aspire a cartomizer?

I would like to swap out the coils/wicks with replacements etc. I don't mind paying 20 quid or what not but this vaping lark is getting expensive!

You can get some good clones from www.modsandatties.com, but you're looking £30 minimum for an RBA.

On the lower cost side, the AGA-T2 is generally well regarded, I believe.

I couldn't find the Star Wars one and wondered why ;)

Got a link to that AGA T2?

Looking at the I Atty, the Fogger and the 360 Atty.

If anyone has any experiences of these that would be mucho appreciated :)

Also, what's the deal with these clones, are they reliable?

You could get an IGO-W dripper for about £15... Easy to build and works well, except it will only hold about 0.5-1ml liquid then you have to add more, just whup the drip tip out and put some liquid in it's not hard, also you can use dual coils which is pretty nice.

I read that the Hcigar one is good and the others are not so great. The Hcigar kayfun 3.1 is the good one (£39 in UK), and the Kayfun lite clones and other brands are not as good. Things like rusting screws and plated brass instead of SS. I would go for the Hcigar or a Youde atomiser, they are well made and fully stainless steel / pyrex.

Does anyone know if the Mrs Lord & Co 'Druide' will crack an Evod BCC like this one? (I'm new to Vaping)

I've checked the website and it mentions that they've been tested in Evod tanks without issues but I don't want to risk it.
*WARNING* We have had two reports that this may have caused 2 Taifun GT tanks and a Storm Rider 2.1 tank to crack. It has been tested in EVOD and iClear tanks without issues.

Apparently you can test it on a CD by adding a couple drops to it and leaving it for a while?

Cheers!

Cheers for that, I think I'll give that a go :)

why are you getting a genesis style atomizer? That is also rebuildable and will require you to make a coil and use a wick of some kind which I thought you didn't want.

Watch some videos on Youtube before buying it as it might not be what you're looking for. The Kayfun (clones included) are a doddle to setup in comparison.

Damn it.

I only had a quick look on my phone :/

Mmmm I'm not getting this for some reason :/

With the protank I can buy the little screw in wicks, that's what I want again really just a better quality version. Is there anything out there like that?

Looking at the Kayfun, it seems like you have to 'build' your own wicks as well, not just buy them individually and just screw them in.

Am I right in thinking that or have I got it arse about face?

Spot on.
But rebuilding is far cheaper and more flexible than replacement heads at predetermined resistance. You've got the control over how you vape, what wick material you use, the heat it puts out, etc.
I'm a huge advocate of MicroCoiling with Cotton, but lately I've been preferring Stainless Steel Rope (7x7 2.5mm) in my Genesis tanks, as it wicks faster than Cotton.
The replacement heads are fine to start with, but they have a half life - you'll find they perform great, then decline and finally taste off. They can be marginally maintained with a flush and a dry burn, or even completely rebuilt for the fraction of the cost of replacements.
Rebuilding is where many Vapers end up, but usually after rebuilding Pro Tank heads (very simple and you can really improve the Vape by slightly dropping the resistance and removing the flavour wick.

AS redmogg and majnu already said, rebuilding is far far cheaper.
Eg. iirc a protank head is around £1.50 to £2?
You can recoil it yourself for about 10p lol but i can be daunting at first, but it gets easy fairly quick.
If you just want an easy faff free tank, that u can just buy new haeds for, then just get the Aspire bdc, review here

Ah, my apologies. I thought with all the talk of the Kayfun etc. going on that you were looking for a rebuildable atty, G|mp; sorry!

Anyone got any recommendations for a carto tank for use with the SOPHIA? Currently getting on OK in my AGR+, but with the locking ring that this tank uses, it means I lose out on the handy option of just sliding the tank up to change coils without losing juice.

My "holy grail" is the GP Salt & Pepper, but I can't find it in stock anywhere in the UK for the life of me! I have the slim tank for the SOPHIA from House of Mods, but I want one with a bigger capacity -- and a Pyrex tank, ideally.

Finally managed a good build on my kraken clone using the same SS mesh/ekowool core but this time using a kanthal flat wire 4 wrap coil at about 1.5 ohms. It's simply brilliant I can see why you would use these devices, would like a bit of a thicker vape so tempted to rebuild it dual coil but I'll see how this fairs, really like the extra surface of the flat wire.

Kir fanis (gr modders) sells tanks and there is the loki tank by amistique. All of the makers who make rebuild able cartos will sell tanks too. Or just put a wanted advertisement on ukv
