Holdsworth used to make steel road bikes back in the day. PlanetX have obviously decided to resurrect the name as a bit of marketing. Nice looking bike.

Think it's NOS stuff they've bought from another shop rather than put together by PX.

I'm sure I've talked about this before but the benefit of training mornings vs evenings.

Say I make 300w peak power.

Normal training in an afternoon ill ride at 85% of this so 255w.

In a morning ill only be able to manage say 70% so 210w.

Is my body getting the same benefit from the same riding? Ill work as hard each time but in the morning the power just isn't there!

I feel your pain, I'm useless in the morning. I can't answer your second question definitively but I'd guess power is fairly absolute and if you're not hitting the numbers then you're probably not getting the same benefit. Guesswork though.

Total guesswork I know, a power meter would tell me I'm making no power but wouldn't help me as I know this from my average speed and if I do rollers I can't go as quickly.

Got to ride in the morning or ill end up working late or away. That or its a million degrees and blowing a gale. Best riding time is to head out about 9:30 for a few hours.

No matter how early I go to bed I feel knackered if I get out on the bike at 6am ish.

Forecast looks OK for the weekend at the moment so should be heading out if you're around - no worries if not!

Sufferfest - Angels last night, squats this evening for the first time in weeks. Legs broken.

Me and my flatmate are hoping to go for a ride so I'll drop you a text nearer the time. What day are you thinking?

Sorry if this is a bit morbid but would anyone be interested in buying a Rapha & Raeburn Wind Jacket in White, size small? It is limited edition and quite striking. My brother bought one for me as a present in XS and got himself one too. As far as I know it was never used. I have no use for it and has no sentimental value to me so I think I should get rid as it just reminds me of the cycling we will never get to do together!

:| guess it's a new frame time.

Woa! How did that happen?? Looks corroded slightly, or is that just the picture?

its just BB that has some surface rust other than that the frame was ok! :) used to flex like hell tho

Is that a BMX, looks like he has done one too many tricks?

his bmx is long gone.. well the old frame cracked ;) the new is full cro-mo. This was his SS steel

It's steel, just get it welded. A few quid, rather than a few hundred. Ring your LBS, or your local garage.

I suggested he does that but he was planning to get a new frame.. so a good excuse aye?

Wow... Your family seem to be awesome at destroying bikes... You with your "break a spoke every 10 miles" and now your brother with this :p
