would ride it home for 6 miles... ?![]()
that's nothing. 1986, Cindy Whitehead won a 50 mile race after her seatpost snapped off in the first mile. 49 miles standing :/

Not sure I'd trust a reweld on that part of the frame.

I suggested he send it to LBS and get it welded but I wouldn't be surprised if he just bought a Dolan track frame because he was talking about it not long ago.Hi guys, any suggestions for a £300 - 400 road bike I can buy for my girlfriend to get her into cycling? I figure if I buy her one as a pressies she will feel obliged to start up!![]()
Looks like they don't do them any more, which is bothersome because I need a new pair. Hopefully they are summer stock and will come back in.got a link to the PI ones please? thanks![]()
It'll be fine to weld there, but it's right on the lug so the brass will fizz and spit everywhere when you weld it. I'd weld it. Lightly vee the break and weld it as a series of deep tacks to prevent the heat building up, but it's easy for me to say because I can weld and I have a MIGNot sure I'd trust a reweld on that part of the frame.

looked fake to be honest.
Any recommendations for a cheap wireless cycle computer? I'm not fussed about anything fancy like cadence or HRM, just speed and distance and the usual guff.

I have a Cateye micro wireless gathering dust?
How cheap is cheap?
You can pick up a Bryton 20 for about £60 now that has all the functionality of a Garmin 500.

Had the older model of this for over a year and it's been great.
If what you're really after is a properly basic dirt cheap speedo, then you'd be as well getting a basic halfords or aldi one for about £10.
EDIT: Just noticed that bryton has the HRM included as well. That's an absolute steal in that case. I know oyu said you weren't looking for HRM, but at that price it's rude not to!![]()
Hmm, I'll look into that. I don't want to spend much over £30 if I can avoid it, and I do plan on buying a garmin at some point, so I'd rather not spend the extra for something not quite as good as what I ultimately want to pick up anyway.

Ooh, how much would you want for it? Got a link to the specs or a review or images or something?

This one. I'll have a look tonight* and see if I've got all the bits. It's no use to me so you can have it.
*I may well forget to do this so bear with me.

so.. Endomondo calorie counts.. are they just completely wrong? 16 mile commute home, Endomondo says 1037 calories. Export as a GPX and import into Strava, and Strava says 427 calories for the exact same journey. What gives?
