What film did you watch last night?

Primer

excellent film and if your into science and the concept of time travel you're in for a treat as the film is in no way dumbed down for the sake of the film.

You'll either get the film and love it along with its slightly lower budget feel or get lost and have no hope of understanding it.

-- might have to add about time to my watch list.

Sounds really interesting and its on Netflix, will will be watching it, that's why I like this thread, find less known movies occasionally.

Yeh me too. It's a very low budget movie, almost something some guys did for their uni dissertation almost.

But don't think it's something you can watch for watching its sake. You have to be awake and concentrating.

Morning Glory (yep, another rachel mcadams film)

6/10

the unusual score for a mcadams film was purely down to the fact i got a bit restless after the first 30mins. Thankfully the film picked up and by the end I really enjoyed it.

Harrison Ford is in it, obviously nowhere near mcadams calibre but i loved his character

Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Second time seeing it this week, fantastic. Amazing cast and great direction, gripping from the start. Brilliant adaptation of the book, looking forward to Mockingjay Part I.

4/5

Admit it, it's for Jennifer Lawrence and nothing else :p

Thursday film night, and last night the film was Mud. Thoroughly enjoyed this film, great acting on all parts. After the cheap shallow hollowness of Hobbit 2 with it's CGI and overall terribleness in so many ways, this showed what great film making is with proper characters, correct pace, control, and story development. 9/10

Watched Captain Philips last night after some good reviews here & I wasn't disappointed.

A quality film of the real life events, a mahoosive 9/10 from me.

Rush 9/10 Totally engrossed throughout the film. I thought both the main actors where excellent.
American Hustle 9/10

Both great films. Well worth a watch. Looking forward to Captain Phillips based on the previous reviews.

Caught red-handed, I have no excuses! ;) (I saw American Hustle the other week...)

I can't believe they're splitting the last book into two films. This is a plague among book adaptations.

I agree, but I was surprised at how much of the second book they crammed into Catching Fire. Its nigh on impossible to do that with Mockingjay, 3rd book is packed. I have faith in them pulling it together.

Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug 7/10

It's better than first one and I actually gave first one 9 but rewatching it home I was extremely bored. First one barely gets a 6 from me now that I got my rose tinted glasses off. So second one is better but ughh at this point I'd say hobbit is pretty meh thus far, I don't see how the third one can salvage it.

One a side note, when an orc got it's head chopped off, kids in the theatre started laughing like mad, it was a very creepy experience to see such gruesome act bring laughter to what likely were 12 year olds.
