Ariel Sharon dead

Yes, why would anybody oppose a racial state which espouses supremacy of one race over all others and which conducts ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians? A country where the Palestinians had been living for millenia until the Zionist terrorists bombed them out and drove them into concentration camps where they remain until this day. A country which has conducted terrorism against the UK and US (USS Liberty, Lavon Affair) but it still controls the system to such an extent that they extract billions of dollars per year in tribute from the Western tax-payer slave (even though its government just posted a budget surplus). This country bans marriage between Jews and the few non-Jews which remain there. It does not accept asylum seekers/refugees and Christian worshippers are regularly spat on in the country.

You mind slaves need an education on what Israel is...

"WE, THE JEWISH PEOPLE, CONTROL AMERICA. AND THE AMERICANS KNOW IT."

-- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
October 3, 2001
(IAP News)

What, the homeland of the Jewish people?

Here we go, let the antisemitism commence.

Forget him for a moment, but what is it about what Israel stands for that you hate ? Just curious.

It's got nothing to do with the Jews - in fact part of my immediate French family are Jewish.

I'm pro-Arab through family history and through my own readings/perceptions and experience of being in that part of the world which I have been to several times. My family also used to work/live there.

Brainwashed? Perhaps. Biased? Perhaps. However, I've heard, read, learned enough about both sides of the story, in which both have done repugnant things, but overall the Israeli behaviour/bullying/mantra they follow just makes me less than willing to accept their "cause".

Also again this is a little unfair, but a lot of the Israelis I've met are not very nice people - of course this is a general sweeping generalisation, as I do have a couple of people in my circle of acquaintances that are top blokes from Israel, but incidentally, they're not Jewish, not that that makes any difference. I guess it is just on who you meet - but I generally find their behaviour arrogant and unpleasant. Again this is my perception from the experiences I've had. I'm sure there are just as many who would change my mind.

That said, if I had to pick a side it wouldn't be a Zionist one.

Ultimately it's something that's personal to me - I'm not going to try and convince you two - but please do carry on with your sweeping allegations.

Many of my white associates are racist to some degree yet I've never come across antisemitism I constantly come across folk who dislike the actions and attitudes displayed by Israel, after the late 80s loads of soviet block Jews went to Israel and since then they've only elected bellicose idiots like Nutyahoo and they've lost the public opinion war.

Understood. Explains everything about your 'view'.

I'll think you will find I didn't make any sweeping statements or allegations, but thanks for the false accusation anyway. But I understand why you said that. You're hyper defensive which is symptomatic of anyone who is desperately scrambling around in the dirt in order to justify their immoral opinions.

Don't get your knickers in a twist I quoted both you and danielanthony - it's clear that it wasn't aimed at you. However if it makes you happier, I retract that comment aimed at you, my apologies.

My opinions are not immoral, I'm not defensive, in fact I couldn't care less (though I appreciate the irony of doing a lengthy reply to you here, however out of respect to you I felt you deserve a reply) - I decided to answer the question because you asked. I could have, if you wanted, ignored the question completely, and carried on bleating about my anti-Israeli views... or just said nothing on the subject again.

However, it's not my thing, I believe I've aired my opinion in a very clear way, not antagonising anyone (bar my last comment, but I was under the belief you and daniel were being scornful, so defended myself).

Generally where I come from the general feel is pro Arab - I've heard many arguments/debates about both, and if I'm honest, I'm actually rather "meh" about it all. If anything I'm more on the fence - but in solidarity to my family/friends/background I veer towards what I know.

Your opinions/facts on why I'm wrong are no more invalid than mine on why I hold my perceptions on the matter.

AS I said I'm not going to try and convince anybody here otherwise, I'm quite happy in my skin. :)

This war criminal killed my best friend... Sad thing to see someone like him goes without a trial or anything. At least he is not getting the usual polishing in western media outlets as most other horrible things Israel have done to the Palestinians.

This war criminal killed my best friend....

Firstly, how did he kill your best friend ? What was your best friend doing to invoke actions which got him killed ? Was he an innocent casualty of an on going conflict ? In which case you can't blame Sharon for that. Sharon was just the man at the top, not the man who pulled the trigger. Was your best friend a filthy scum terrorist firing rockets into suburban Israeli settlements ?

We need some context first before we can evaluate your claim. I'm not being funny, I just want you to understand that you need to clarify a claim with evidence before you can expect anyone to accept it.
