AMD Catalyst 14.1 Beta - Mantle Support *Coming Soon*

That came via ze driver fix :).

There is no driver fix for CrossFire-it stutters, if you played it on CrossFire you would know that.:p

No because it only masked the perceptible effect(s) of runt frames. It didn't remove the actual runt frames themselves.

Regardless what terminology spin anyone wants to add, without taking it over x amount of pages on the oCuk magic roundabout...

FC3 on CrossFire, RP=playable, fixed, cured, masked.

FC3 on stock CrossFire=stutterfest.

Hold on, I played FC3 with Crossfire 280X to get some FRAPS numbers for testing and thought it was ok unless I missed something obvious or needed to play it for longer?

* Cant remember now lol

Agreed!

Only FC3 have ever had issue. Even Nvidia user's reported the same stutter, Ubisoft was trying to blame AMD and Nvidia for the issue i believe.

How long ago was this? It's been months since I last played this. Even got to the point where I didn't complete it because it was just poor game.
Not because of the performance but overall boring.

Afaik what ever was broken is now supposed to be fixed in fc3, runs perfectly on 780 sli, though it does torture them.

I did but as already pointed out I was talking about runt frames in general - I don't think I even mentioned FC3. Did I?

FC3 was completely unplayable for me on my 7950s. Even with RP it wasn't great compared to other games tbh.

See above - was talking about runt frames fixed by the frame pacing drivers not FC3. I don't know where FC3 has come from as an example as that was just broken in multi-GPU lol. Masking is still different to curing though :p.

You must be talking in the mirror or your in the wrong thread then, everyone else is specifically talking about FC3 which you are engaging conversation with, getting really silly now rusty or backtracking, idk, see you later.:)

Oh dear look below:

It's been so long since I had crossfire I almost forgot the frame pacing is only just soon going to be sorted. I've not really needed to think about stutter or pacing for so long now.

Frame pacing has been fixed for single screen displays since August and before that we used RadeonPro to cure it.

Nothing about FC3 in that conversation trail, Tommy. There has been earlier and after but this was a different path.

Reading and comprehension failure I think :).

No - because my original comment then followed on from Matt's comment:

Just a minor correction. RadeonPro didn't 'cure' it - it masked the effects by adding more input lag. The only way to truly cure it was a driver side fix which as you say came in August.

'It' being runt frames.

RACF :).
