GS5 to launch in January

Looks like a March Announcment and April release.

A VP at Samsung has confirmed the company will be launching its latest smartphones flagship, the Galaxy S5, by April.

Just like its Galaxy S4 predecessor, Samsung is once again targeting March for the official announcement and April for the release date for the Galaxy S5. This means the manufacturer won't be bringing any flagship phones on the upcoming MWC in Barcelona next month.

Will be really interested to see what they come up with after that link you posted above.
Someone mentioned it in here also about the GS2 been 3 years old and there are still plenty of examples that look like new whereas the GS3's are looking more worn due to the materials used to make them.
The GS2 certainly was well made and took the rough with the smooth.

This may be my first year in a while that I don't go Samsung, if their design isn't great or they use a sub par LCD, or If KNOX isn't cracked.

I like the Moto Maker X a lot - I hope a revamp of it come's to the UK.

KNOX won't be going anywhere. I'm pretty sure it can't be cracked as a physical fuse is broken when it is tripped.

there's a thread on XDA saying that Samsung repair stores have a specialist tool that resets KNOX.

Though If the physical design of the S5 is a stunner - the bad taste of KNOX will be forgotten, or at least pushed aside.

S4 owners, are you going to jump? Normally I crave the latest of my gadgets but I can't see how having 1440p over 1080p will be that amazing, nor a better SoC, or a 16MP that is apparently not coming with OIS. A new TW - yes but I presume that will come to the GS4. Will they match this with a decent battery?

2hours to a full charge doesn't sound that impressive considering the Note 3's 3200mAh charges to full in around 2.5 hours.

I still love my S2, and won't be upgrading until the S4 Mini becomes a non-silly price, or a new S2-sized uberphone is released. :p
