GS5 to launch in January

Lol at the HTC one malarkey - infringe a few patents and you can truly make a great phone :D

On a serious note, I was on the verge of getting it but the fixed battery & no option to add additional storage killed it off for me

Speaking of the the HTC one, what the hell did they do with the max? :eek:
 
Feeling quite restricted on the HTC One now with storage so will be keen to upgrade to a new phone. Hoping that Samsung can impress us with:

1. Better design than the S3/S4
2. Better material for a more premium feel
3. A better thought out interface
4. Camera with OIS
5. MicroSD card slot
6. Mass availability of the device on launch
 
Leaked software update looks interesting, hopefully the build feels better, yet to try a Note 3 so I can't comment on that but it seems like a set in the right direction.

OIS I feel is slightly over hyped, it helps on low light but it also takes a lot long to capture the shot and isn't amazing with motion, moreover the Nokia's implementation which offers what I think the best low light images.

OIS is very much wanted. Less shakey video to boot.

It's always going to take longer to shoot in low light - OIS is better than no OIS, blur reduction. Also bigger sensor with bigger pixels are what we needs. 8MP should be the cap on res.
 
The main benefit of OIS vs IS via cropping the frame as currently found on Note 3 is that it doesn't crop the video - To me that's a no brainer!
 
Hmm, screenshots of a launcher that i'd never use anyway. meh. More interested in what the rest of it looks like. ie, are they going to bring the notification bar/dropdown inline with KitKat or not? etc
