- It will let you play any media (the server will remux/transcode on the fly if needed)
- great organisation with auto meta data and eye candy
- Synched watched status across all your devices
- remote access to your media
- share your media with friends
- clients available for so many devices (phones/tablets/TV's/media players)

Sorted, lets just say it was user error, the certs worked fine but I didnt notice that when the DNS settings are set to manual it said 196.168.104.100, I just say the 104.100 so changed it to 100.005 as per my network and didnt spot the 196 at the start :D
 
Damn it, and now I have to replace my server as it won't transcode some of my files...
