Just ordered a Russian 91% and looking at a Nemesis Clone and kick. Also ordered some juice, I thought this was meant to be cheaper than smoking?

I am having issues with the same coils. I have a protank 1 and protank 2 and i have nearly had to change the coils daily. With me they are getting flooded and causing ejuice to gurgle up to the mouth piece..as soon as i change the coil, problem gone. Going to look into rebuildables as this is a pain in the a$$

Protank heads with cotton is a bit annoying, too much and no wicking, too little and flooding / gurgling. Flip the cap around and add a very small flavour wick. Or use no flavour wick and fluff up the ends of the cotton so the fill the hole.

Oh FFS.

After abandoning my cotton "adventure" for now, I stuck a brand new stock head into the Sophia (standard silica wick). Let it sit for a while, vaped, and... burnt taste. Just had to chuck that one, even though the wick looked fine, and replace it with my last one.

This next one had better be OK or I'm going to have a fit today. Good thing I have a bunch of ready wires and ekowool coming to re-coil these things.

In the long run vaping is cheaper.

Depending on how much involved you get will determine whether this is just a new hobby - that will entail endless spending or just a short term solution to help you stop your nicotine addiction.

Unlike cigarettes vaping isn't about one brand. There are endless flavours and devices which is all part of the journey and fun (for me personally)

What you've spec'd will serve you well, get some decent batteries and charger and hopefully you'll have trouble free vaping. Do not buy Ultrafire, I can't stress that enough

http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Are-ULTRAFIRE-batteries-really-so-bad

This is how much I have spent on vaping :

Vamo V5 + Charger (fasttech) - £30
2 x batteries + IGO-W RDA + drip tips etc. = £30
Wire + cotton wool + things for DIY coils = £15
DIY e-liquid supplies = £60

So thats £130 with enough eliquid to last me quite a long time and after that the weekly cost with DIY liquid and coils is about £3. I guess £130 is quite a lot actually but that is the same cost as 10 packs of nicotine gum or 25 x 25g bags of tobacco. Once that has been paid off it actually will work out cheaper than smoking or gums, as long as nothing breaks anyway.

If you buy the nicest stuff every time it comes out and buy premium ready made e-liquids then it is indeed more expensive than smoking.

Cheers for the input guys, pretty sure my spending will drop off after the Russian and I have a clean mod to carry around. Just been fun getting all the different bits together and messing around.

But don't you want a Provari or a Svoemesto semovar to use it with? :D

Came back to vaping recently after trying unsuccessfully last year - Have spent a fortune on various batteries, cartomizers, skycigs, SD kits, tanks, CE's, low ohm heads, high ohm heads, dripping atties etc etc and tried many truly horrible eliquids along the way.....End result it all ended in a big box and returning to my 20 a day L&B.

Getting closer this time though, my biggest breakthrough being *finally* discovering an eliquid that is *close* to a real ciggy! Or as close as I am likely to get anyway. Fair play to those who enjoy the sweet flavours but it's not for me. I never wanted to smoke a toffee apple and I really want to replicate as closely as possible my normal analogues.

So I am currently using with moderate success:

itaste V3 @ 8W
306 LR Dipping atty for use at home
Kanger mini protank 2 & evods with 1.8ohm heads for out and about (Draw is airy though)
Plastic drip tip as do not like the supplied metal tip
Triphammer Standard T&H 18mg - Closest I have found to a normal cigarette by a looooong way (Ordered some 24mg now to give a bit more throat hit)
HOL El Toro Cigarrillos (Not 100% on this yet as can taste the PG base? Leaving for a few days to steep)

abj7t2.jpg

Still duel fuelling but not beating myself up yet - It is a journey not a race.

Delighted though to have found the triphammer liquid - Tried the T&H Gold first time round and it was vile, far too sweet. The standard however really is very close to the real thing.

Cigarrillos no better after steeping away - Can still taste the base so that's for the ever increasing vaping box.

The Triphammer though is a winner (and I have tried a *lot* of tobacco flavours) so another 90 ML on the way. This without doubt is my biggest breakthrough so far in the world of vaping.

Also been really pleased with the iTaste V3 and mini protank 2 - Despite initial reservations I quite enjoy the airier draw now so have ordered another set for in the car + a load more spare heads as I am a lazy git and can't be bothered with wicking and all that at the moment :p This to me ultimately is not about money or faffing about - I want as close as possible to pick up and forget with consistent performance and one flavour - i.e. the analogues!

Expensive lark this but getting close now and apart from the morning ritual ciggy I am nearly there. Not saying I'm quitting yet but the want for the 'real deal' is subsiding daily. Impressed.

my friend is looking to setup a website mainly selling batteries and such, he has being doing this for other products and is looking at getting to the ecig market.

can you advise on what batteries you guys would like to see on UK sites and a good price ?

Quality brands (AW, MNKE, Efest, Sanyo, Sony, Panasonic) IMR & IMR versions of 14500, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650 sizes, protected & unprotected, flat topped & button tops...
Need high Amp rating IMRs like the new Efest 35A rated 18650's and Sony 30A 18650...
Don't bother stocking *anything* with "fire" in the name or anything recovered from a laptop...

He also needs to stock reliable, quality chargers (Nitecore, Xtar...) and battery storage cases.

He'll be competing with Torchy for pricing - so that's what sort of prices the Vaper's Community are after.

...Or tell him to just ask Torchythebatteryboy if he needs a partner ;)

Anyone want to go 50/50 on some nic base?
I can get 500ml of 72mg nic base for £40 and say £3 for postage to you and £1 for some 100ml bottles.
So for £22 you can have 250ml of nic. :D
thats enough for 1.5L of diy juice for a 12mg vaper

My ECigs Russian 91 arrived today, all seems pretty nice except the inner chimney that goes around the coil to the mouth piece is a single piece and thus i'm finding it hard to build a good coil, thinking i should have just plumped up the extra....

Evening,

I want to quit again!

I had a evod ecig and I just got fed up with it leaking so I started smoking again.

Could you guys spec me something decent for around £30 would that be enough? Also something half decent for the wife. She's not that bothered about turning up the power or anything like that. Just something basic that won't leak like the last set did.

Thanks for any help

Head over to Vape Escape http://www.vapeescape.co.uk

Kanger Protank 2 = £15.99
Ego C-Twist VV 1000mah = £24.95

Free delivery and If you use the code UKV it'll give you 10% off

This setup is a really good starting point! All you will need is a charger which is around £4

I started with one of these batteries in May 2013 and it's still working well, the Protank 2 is a brilliant tank also

This looks okay, but the battery's are a bit small. Can use the bigger battery off my evod?

My old one had a 1000 or a 1100 with it and i used a 650 as well in the same day.

S'why you get two - charge one whilst t'other's in use :)
Absolutely no reason you can't use your existing Egos - it was mainly the Aspire tanks I was recommending.
