***GTX 780 Ti Owners Thread***

Well I have a problem with my brand new EVGA 780TI SC. I heard a whine when I started to play games and I thought it might have been the 500W Power supply that was in my Hadron Air.

So I am just after just taking apart my build and placing it on my desk and using a very good quality 650W gold rated Seasonic power supply and it has become clear that it is my brand new graphics card that only came today making the whine :(.

Would EVGA do a replacement due to Coil Whine?
 
Possibly. Honestly though, I think they all do it. All 3 of mine do...it's not a fault. I've also had them connected to two entirely different power supplies and it's the same. Enable a frame cap to reduce the noise if it's really that bad.
 
panel off can hear it fairly loudly. Although you always do I find on water as there's no fan to drown it out.

3 going for it with the side panel off is fairly painful when benching lol. I've never classed it as a fault though. With the side panel on it's barely audible. I'm more fixated on the water temp going up with all three cards going for it lol :D.

They may do if its really bad, tho it may also settle down, most cards have some degree of whine these days underload
 
Anybody got a clue how I can increase voltage with Skynet's bios? It won't go above 1.062 :o
Nevermind, gotta use EVGA precision :p

At 1.212v mine is bench stable at 1220Mhz but requires 1.25v to be game stable. It needs 1.35v to reach 1250mhz and even then it artifacts.

So it seems stuck for now at 1220 / 7900

What do you guys think? My titan reaches 1180mhz with stock volts.
I would have thought the classifed would be able to reach more than this.

I bet most ref Ti's could reach higher clocks than mine?

Meanwhile my ref ti that I got yesterday seems to be stable way over 1200mhz :o

What voltage is that at?

I thought the Classified cards were supposed to be binned/cherry picked? Mind you with the Kingpin cards out I guess that's were all the decent chips are going...

Hey everyone, enjoying the forum, bouncing ideas around, and also stories of people ripping £600+ cards apart for extra FPS - love it!

Overclocking my card (EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC) currently at 1212MHz core and 8000MHz memory, seems ultra-stable in everything, running at 1150mV. (I've had 1300MHz/8000MHz stable @1212V, SKYNET BIOS - overclock.net)

Haven't undervolted it too much, to test for stability, but could probably do it at 1087mV.

All my temps are fine, IDK VRM temps, but are my clocks are good/bad?

In the great, swirling oblivion we call the silicon lottery, have I done OK?

BTW ASIC quality reads 98.4%.
 
Oh yeah, and card sucks for 144Hz monitor.

Used to use an LG 42" LCD TV through HDMI, so... 1080p 60Hz, and GTX 470 SLI (800/1850) used to struggle sometimes at high load.

But now, Asus VG278HE 3D monitor syncs at 144Hz and 470 SLI would never get there, however, 780 Ti never falling below 90FPS but not quite achieving 144Hz all the time. This is with a general spread of modern games...

SLI one day methinks...

I'm watching the prices very carefully...

I thought the same but unless I unlock more from a different bios etc. I have a poor example

1.212v for 1220mhz, gone all the way up to 1.4 and I cannot get any stable increase

Well I've tried the 2 skyn3t bios files that are on this forum. Will check for another.

Also, according to a review I read on Anandtech, some cards don't benefit from a voltage boost as they need to reach a predetermined step up in the voltage before it gets applied. If you are using EVGA precision, can you post some images of your settings screen?

I tired keeping the memory clock stock and overclocked

I'd say you've done very ok if you're able to hit 1300mhz on air :) And wow at that ASIC quality! Although I don't pay much attention to it, my best clocker is 84% and my worst is 74%. Go figure :)
