Played a kid that had his mic on. He went 1-0 up with a few minutes to go and seemed so happy.. then I scored on the 90th minute and I could actually hear him crying.

Also played this guy that went off at me because Neuer keeped making crazy saves... saying things like "youre ****. lucky *******. I'd rape you if it wasn't for Neuer. **** you you little ****."

Is there a way to mute mics permanently?

Okay guys, its got to the point where i genuinely want to help myself improve, i really enjoy the game but i continuosly see myself doing stupid stuff.

Firstly, what are some basics that will help me improve, dribbling, passing attacking and defending?

For example should i when defending, continouly sprint alongside the attacker? or hold down x to apply pressure or wait and stick in a tackle when i can see an oppertunity.

Another thing i do wrong is when attacking i always manage to lose the ball to his defence, i try to out manouver them and lose the ball.

What skill moves should i learn?

I just want to improve, if anyone can help me i will be forever grateful.

(PS. been trying the 3 square cross and its really good, cheers to who suggested i use it)

Dribbling can mean two things;

A - Run straight up the wing to cross it then you need high pace and semi decent dribbling stats
B - Beating players by twisting in and out - then you need high dribbling stats and some skill moves

Passing;

You need to just think more quickly as what your currently doing most likely is taking too much time on the ball, rattle off a few ping pong passes to open up some space or use a zoomed out camera like co-op to switch the play to the opposite wing.

Defending;

You need good CB's and full backs this is really important pick from the below for your teams;

Ramos
IF Miranda
SIF Benatia
Chiellini
Silva
Dante
Hummels

etc, etc.

Try and use medium/medium full backs like

Enrique
Gibbs
Mariano
Konko
Radu
Schmelzer

etc, etc.

PS - it was me who posted about the triple tap cross a few days ago.

I also keep seeing people mention x when defending, what does that do? I either square(slide tackle) or O and pull their shirt, is there other ways of defending?

Yea' you could have scored some really sweaty goals, it's why I'm glad none of my crosses went in as I would have felt bad, although you did a spectacular early cross which was cool.

I might try and chance up formation a bit or as someone suggested run 4-3-3(4) but put it to defensive and mix it up a bit.

I would like to give you a game sometime

If you use a headset I can give you some tips as we are playing.

I don't think there is. But also this is the main reason why I now just mute the game all together and play some music instead. Gets rid of the horrid commentary. Also means I don't have to put up with idiots who rant on swearing non stop at me through the game or people who decide to leave their Kinect on and play crappy music as loud as possible through their mic.

It's the PS Camera. I have mine unplugged at the moment as I found no way to turn it off other than putting myself in a party on my own in the PS OS. I wondered why I was getting 'shhhhhh' by loads of people when I hadn't done anything wrong. Then I realised it was probably my industrial language being transmit without me realising :D.

Well done EA.

It's rare I hear anyone on the mic but I've received some rage messages that could probably get people arrested. I get mad as **** at fifa sometimes but at least I don't send sick rage messages.

lol yeah same. Someone told me to die of cancer, someone said he'd break my legs and asked to meet me. Bearing in mind I don't over celebrate or do anything wind up worthy in game I find it all quite funny.

I send messages but only after beating kick off glitchers and then I'm just asking if they enjoyed watching every replay of me destroying the sad glitching tool. If they kick off glitch they get every goal replay. It's my revenge. They aren't offensive though. I don't really get mad at people, more the game. I find peoples playstyles pathetic but there always is this in FIFA.

Thanks for replying mate.

Right now my defence is

CDM: Toure
LB: Cole
CB: David Luiz
CB: Vidic
LB: Zabaleta

Midfield and upfront i have

RM: Navas
LM: Schurrle
CAM: Rooney
ST: Eto
ST Jovetic

Any recommended skill moves to learn?

I know the flick right stick facing the opponent and then opposite way, heel chop?

I know the diagonal bottom left and right and i also know the one where your running down the wing but then you do a spin and cut inwards.

I usually have trouble getting through the enemys defense.

Heel to heel flick 4* (forward then back)
Heel chop 4* (L2 then square quickly followed by X)

Are both really effective. All skill moves are about timing though. Just keep trying. Eventually you'll work out when they work and when they don't.

Dribbling is something you need to get a feel of yourself. It's nearly impossible to teach it or pick up tips on it.

Sure mate, I'll be on tonight.

cHk4, thats a pretty attacking middle you have there! Do you not get left open at all? I'm half tempted to drop Casemiro for Iniesta, hmm...

I do but I think that's down to my play style ( do you mean the Barca team I mentioned or the one in the videos with Ibra as CAM? )

Put hunter on Iniesta, it's the one time I've actually noticed a big difference with a chem style on a player.

Ok mate will give that a go, thanks :)

Remove Vidic for Kompany, IMO Kompany is the best BPL CB ive used, Luiz is a beast but really likes to push up, they work well together for me atleast. Ive said it time and time again, Navas is absolutely dog turd, doesnt feel as fast as his stats suggest and hes far too weak/small.. Nani is a better pic, some suggest Ben Arfa but Nani does better for me.

As for skill moves a simple Body Feint obliterates opponest for me if your running down the right wing at the edge of the box flick the left stick to the right and then right stick to the left to cut inside, works like a dream.

Also when i make my FUT again ill give some of you guys some games it could be interesting especially against you CHK4 we play a similar style it sounds.

Are you on PS3? if so use Kaboul instead of Vidic, he's miles better on PS3.

if on PS4 use Kompany instead of Vidic, pace does still make a difference and Kompany has amazing defending stats to go with it.

Swap Cole with Gibbs or Enrique and see if that helps you defensively also, then I would swap Zabaleta with Walker or Johnson tbh their pace will help them get back quickly after they go forwards.

Other than that your team looks pretty solid tbh, personally I would use Gerrard or Fernandinho instead of Rooney at CAM but I've never tried Rooney tbh because I hate him and he's small.

As for skill moves look at youtube skill tutorials for fifa 14, then try them out in the practice arena on your own, then bring them into a game.

I don't use them at all personally maybe I should start?

Unless you're good at skilling it usually ends up with you losing the ball. I wouldn't change anything if you're winning games without using them. Also when the game is even the slightest bit laggy skills seem to act erratically.

If you're not good at skilling, its normally cause you haven't tried it though ("You" in general, not you Suarez :p) It adds a new dimension to your game, and its handy to know them and to be able to do them, there are some people who can defend flat play and no skills very easily, you throw a few skills into the mix, nothing too OTT and nothing for the sake of it, but you can turn good defenders into wrecks.
