Hello Motors


Due to there being exactly 5 decent S2000s for sale in the whole UK at the moment, I am taking the time to explore other options before making a final decision.

Looking for the following:
quick
fun
good handling
not fwd
not an rx8

at the risk of this going downhill fast when Nath starts posting, what would you suggest I test drive over the next few weeks.

suggestions welcomed :)
 
Would you consider AWD? Evo/Subaru?

BMW M3
C55 AMG *you can get one around £8k if you look hard enough*
Alpina B3.3

EDIT: In terms of sorted Ep3 would you say speed/handling? IF speed, then maybe a R32 Golf considering the mods that can be done.

thought about it, not sure what my budget can get

I like evos and imprezas, im just not sure what to look for with them and i dont think 8k will get me much. am i wrong?

again, all down to budget. 8k only seems to get rotter modded examples covered in ebay tat and nothing that looks to have been kept stock.
or they have astro miles.

With an 8k budget I'd be tempted to wait and save a couple more thousand.

10k gets you into a far better example of a 1 owner FSH E46 M3.
 
Do you need a car? If not just keep the cash there so when the right one pops up you can give a deposit then go and see it. Don't want the right one to pop up and you're faffing trying to sort out insurance NCB and tax and ****
 
I don't need a car, but it would be useful for weekends. I'm just wanting alternatives so I can go and test drive the options. That way if something wows me then I have more options.
 
I'd wait and keep saving. Get a nicer car in the end. If you get something else now you'll only wish ypud waited for a good one every time you see an S2000.
 
Z4? if you're lucky an si,

wild card 986 Boxster 3.2 S?

That money, I'd pick either the S2000 or Z4.

Also i've seen some decent E46 M3's for sale at around that price point.

This - to my mind regardless what ever other motor you buy every time you see a S2K on the road you'll wish to Hell you'd kept your money and waited patiently for the right one to turn up.

You said yourself "You don't need a car" so have patience young Padawan :p
