8K - something interesting

Defintely think you should stick to your guns with your S2000 idea, I don't think anything else will suddenly make you think WOW why did I discount one of those before.

S2000 :)

How much have you driven an S2000 rich, out of interest?

I'd consider the 350Z too if it was a daily drive, its more refined, much more spacious and actually has some toys. But as a weekend toy I think the S2000 is cracking.

Why not buy one of the 5?

Probably out of budget :p

Essentially, yeah. They are all a bit on the dear side. Plus nothing is less than 100 miles away.

I don't fancy travelling over 100 miles to view a car that isn't really what I want.

Orange/yellow facelifts seem to be rarer than hens teeth.
Then the GT variant, even more so

Around an hour seat time. About thirty mins per and post facelift. Never driven a post 06 car though so that is on the agenda if there is one close.

100 miles is nothing for the right car, but you have to judge the seller by phone/email etc first only once wasted my time on a 150 mile trip... (and once booked a flight only to get shafted by the seller)
every car i've bought in the last 4 years has been at least 150 miles away and the furthest was 590!!
get the one you want and be patient!

I'm not fussed about distance. There just isn't anything to me worth travelling 100+ miles for. Hence why I am asking about alternatives. Just so I have looked at everything.

5 decent S2000's, where are you looking? There as common as muck round here lately :p

I like them, but only in the moonrock and blue (montecarlow is it? Similar to performance blue on Fords)... Think I would have to go with the 350 though due to the creature comforts.

S15 200sx. They still look modern from the outside and go well as stock, with scope for plenty more power fairly easily. They're also rare.

Due to there being exactly 5 decent S2000s for sale in the whole UK at the moment, I am taking the time to explore other options before making a final decision.

What is it that you are looking for in an S2000 that means there are only five 'decent' ones for sale in the UK?

Autotrader lists 87 S2000s, of which 37 are under £8000. Is something wrong with all of them, or are there additional restrictions?

Just missed out on those awesome M135i lease deals. Would cost about £8k for 2yrs, and you would be renting..... But why not :D

S2k then, bide your time, I'm sure a cracker will become available!

Well because in 2 years time he has 0 yet in 2 years time after buying say an £8k S2000 he probably has... £7k

Seems like a good reason why not to me?

If you have the funds then why not. I can see this viewpoint being loved by many :D

Anyway, back on topic and to the purchasing fun.

Why? What are wrong with most S2000's?
