Bulk buying monster energy UK

My mate is a type 1 and he drank that kind of stuff like you for years.
Now his kidneys have failed and he is on dialysis 3 times a week. They told him to only drink water.

And which do you think is the more likely cause of his renal failure, diabetes (the number one cause of renal failure) or his choice of beverage?

Pre workout, little frilly lady drink I call it.

Just do it the way our forefathers did, with endless pain and crippling fatigue.

Get in the gym, break yourself, then get up and do it all over again until strong.

What's with this need for caffeine before a workout, does your body not produce adrenaline or something? Granted I'm not a massive weights guy but I am a massive rower and this energy drink thing sounds pointless and a bit dangerous!

Why do you need that before the gym? If you want energy, have a banana and a shot of coffee.

Keep away from these "energy" drinks.

edit: just saw you don't like coffee - you don't even need caffeine, I train late as well, a good diet/routine will have you training with no issues.

Carbs are good for you, even for working out, it's sugar that causes you to get fat not carbs unless you are eating high carb food after 7pm or so then it can be an issue.(i stay off bread as much as i can or eat wholemeal for breakfast only)

I am no way an expert with weights but started last Sept yet been eating fairly good and doing well at the gym.I always have coffee before workout but i always workout at 6.30am so eating something before will not give me anywhere near as much boost.I've lost a lot of bodyfat yet my carb rate been fairly high each day but i eat stuff with very little sugar each day.

Eating carbs after 7pm does you no difference than eating carbs after any time of the day.

As another type 1 here, you need to get off the energy drinks regardless. I havnt had a can of SF monster/relentless for about 5 months now and I have never felt better. Moving from retail to an office job has helped a lot too mind.

Any cash and carry will sell you them,

Bookers, Macro, local ones to your area. There is a book called the Yellow pages that has things in called phone numbers. These days its also interchangeable with a thing called a search engine or a website called Yell, which amazingly offers, almost by design, the same kind of searching ability as a Yellow pages... Its like the two are connected some how. ???

your urine is on here

Diabetes would have caused it. but energy drinks consumed over a long period of time cause issues. If you have a medical condition like diabetes, you'd be an utter fool to touch anything that could make it worse. No one needs energy drinks, they're full of rubbish and all about the marketing and making money. All this pre workout guff is bobbins too, just have a shot of espresso or something.

Why the hell are you using caffeine as a pre workout drink? If you are into weight training 'big time' then you've been horribly misguided. Stick to water for pre workout and during working out. Protein shakes at worst for post work out, but TBH eating properly is better than fatty drinks.
