What made you go for a T5s Ray? What kind of music are you into/learning? Surprised you didn't go down the all acoustic route, dreadanought/Grand Auditorium. could have got a lovely 314CE for around the same price. T5 doesn't necessarily do either great (electric or acoustic) It's a kind of inbetween guitar. Lovely all the same!!! Just hope you don't get sick of the tone of the T5 as you need a few things extra to make this guitar sound truly great. Lovely finish you chose. I have a Taylor 114CE, replaced the strings yesterday to some D'Addarrio EXP 17's and it sounds like a complete new guitar, Taylors are so nice. Especially if you have higher end money :p

He's learning via rocksmith so I assume that's why he didn't do accoustic

I haven't tried them yet mrk, but it was here from order on 15th to today 20th. $42 inc shipping. I'm looking forward to replacing the useless ones in my Luda Souls which is poor.

I almost went for the 314ce, almost. But like you said, although this doesn't do the best acoustic sound or the best electric, it does do them 95% of both and all in 1 guitar. It's not perfect but it's certainly nothing else like it out there. I could've got a 114 and a Pacifica 112 and still be less than this, but I rather have this.

I almost got the T5x but I wanted a hard case, silly that a £1250 guitar come with a soft case I think. This also has a wicked colour (I would've settled for a blue one too, or a black one, or a cheery sunburst....love them all!), plus it felt right. It's really comfortable to play because it's thin for a acoustic and light for an electric.

Besides, I might still get a 314ce in the future, I actually might get something like a GS mini of the pure acoustic tone if I want that as a stop gap or something as a beater.

Yes but thats not a very valid reason to spend 1200+ on a specific guitar :p

I quite fancy a baby Taylor. I'm v tempted to grab myself one for mucking around on around the house as its so versatile. What on earth do you do for a living to be able to go buy "another" 1200 plus taylor in the future Ray :p

pretty much everything in the pic. stand. 1tb virgin media tivo. 46 inch samsung 3d tv. 120mb broadband. some new turtle beach headphones, edifier speakers, ( 3d is great my daughter loves it) just moved into a new flat so it was an expensive month. Also got a coinops xbox which has 4000 classic games on it with an extended harddrive etc)
