8K - something interesting

Moonrock with black interior is the best combo if you ask me, not so keen on the red interiors.

I'd probably put F1AS2s on it if it was mine and I wanted tyres.

From what I understand, the OE rear size is discontinued for the AS2.

I have seen them in a few places. My plan is to assess the bridge stones on the rear. If they are decent then I will get some matching tyres for the front. If they are shabby, then I will wade in on a set of decent tyres for the whole car.

Lots of conflicting reports on S2KI so I'm not exactly sure what the best course of action is yet tbh

Bridgestone, they are great, and ultimately the car was developed to run on them. Going from the most rigid to the least rigid I can't see working tbh.

Poor apostrophe use there boys.

Bridgestone RE002 are the in tyre it seems. Plus will help with that soggy suspension :p. Although be careful with anything Bridgestone in colder weather.

There is a big tyre thread go check it out on s2ki

I did think AD08R tbh

Sizes from the s2ki FAQ:
215/45/17 front
245/40/17 rear

Been reading the thread on the forums and there is a lot to absorb so will give it a proper read through.

As you've done trackdays before you're going to want a proper tyre for it to be enjoyable so go with at least an AD08. Also don't rule out a scabby set of rimzz with some cheaper (and better) RSRs and then have RE002s for the day to day activities.

AD08 will be ideal. The only reason I got the RE002 is because they are cheap and fancied giving them a whirl.
AD08 can go properly flat out all day and not go off or wear excessively, while providing brilliant grip. I doubt any Bridgestone could match that.

You want a progressive tyre too, to be honest a stock S2000 2006 won't need tyres like that as first mode. AD08 are reported as squidgy too

On your car. Maybe he should read what other people, with the same car as him, have said first.

Or just not worry as it will be in a ditch within a week, apparently

The top level tuned S2000s use AD08 so I think it's a fair suggestion.

They also tend to have baffled sumps and upgraded suspension. You are comparing apples with donkeys. The casual track dayer raves about RE002 on the forum I have been reading for the last 7 years.
