Yeah them too, though I thought the EVOD head had a shorter stem?

Edit: Ah, i get you now, think i misread you the first time. :)

So what is the consensus on the ITV program?

My personal opinion in brief is that it went a long way to say basically nothing.

Guys I got an email from Dean at E-Liquid World. I bought some juices from there in December. They're Hangsen. Though I won't be ordering any more Hangsen myself, there's discount for anyone interested. Very kind of him. He said,

"Hi,

I was just searching google for mentions of our site "E-Liquid World" and saw a few forum posts on the Overclockers forum which mentioned us.

I just thought I would let you know that I have created a 12% discount code which you are welcome to use and share with others.

(Our standard discount code is normally 10% but I thought it would be apt to "overclock" this one.)

Therefore code to enter at checkout to get the discount is: overclock

Kind regards,
Dean

Pretty much. However it wasn't as negative as I'd feared it may be and had accounts from plenty of people on both sides of the fence.

I think the inclusion of the lady who's husband died after many years of smoking and a couple of years of e-cigs was a bit farcical, and wasn't the best way to present the quite possibly legitimate concern about pneumonia.

She kept saying 'oil, the oils'.

Aside from that I thought it was reasonably balanced.

It had me worried when they got hte battery and cartridge round the wrong way....! lol

But it seems a lot of nothing, one guy who actually seemed to know his stuff, and a silly old cow who kept calling Eliquid oil... :/

Maybe she had some snake oil :p

I'll watch this on itv catchup later.

Watched it and thought it wasnt too badly done in all honesty and as you said, basically nothing of any major importance was said other than there havent been any long term studies done on e cigs. Was interesting to see the Sigelei factory in China though, they make a lot of e cigs.

Anyone got experience of alchemists cupboard banana mivvi, and also their bananas and cream? Which one is nicer and sweeter? Some say the bananas and cream is smooth and some say a bit chemical. Not sure which one to order in my 5 x 10ml sample pack.

Oh and, some very kind soul on one of the vaping forums is sending me an unopened alchemists cupboard 18mg 10ml bottle of egg custard tart for free, can't wait! :)

I couldnt get my head around why the dead guy had been vaping oil?!

WD40 flavour maybe?

Well I am probably one of the few vapers who liked it if UKV's comments are anything to go by.

ITV and Chris Choi have given exposure to e-cigs during prime time hours on TV - something which I have never seen before. So what if they labelled an e-cig wrong and brought in a story from a man who allegedly died from vaping "oil".

On the whole I found it balanced from the POV of anti-vapers and pro-vapers. It left many questions which is good as this is the first step for further debates on TV. The target audience for the show wasn't vapers who expected technical information and interviews/footage from the E-cig summit. That would have gone through one ear and out the other to people hearing about e-cigs for the first time.

I encourage everyone to watch the after show on VTTV where Chris Choi skyped in and answered the vapers. He did a tremendous job with his reasoning.

I feel like they went out of their way to find negatives. One dude who smoked for decades, out of millions of vapers, gets pneumonia and OMG ban vaping! And being a knob to the guy in the shop. "all my customers say they feel better" "yeah, well that doesn't mean they will ARE better". Gah. I was raging a bit, but at least there was one dude who got more than 5s of screentime and said that vaping was the most effective smoking reduction tool ever.

After 3 months of E-Lites ( and non smoking ), curiousity has got the better of me and have ordered ;

Mini Protank 2 Kit
10ml RY 4 24mg
10ml King Of Cigar 24mg

My first venture into Eliquids etc.

Any tips on good quality ( cheap !! ) liquids and can someone explain in 'stupid mode' what the different ohm ratings are for with the coil heads ?

Thanks

Having indulged in the cig-a-likes, you will probably find the tobacco flavors you have ordered there pretty awesome but I would suggest at least trying a sweet flavour like custard or toffee apple and I'm pretty sure you will find like most of us that tobacco flavors are pretty horrid overall - not everyone does, but most do find this. Sweet liquids are not sickly.

I would recommend Triphammers Toffee apple and Dakangs Premium Fluid "Autumn" as good solid every day vapes.

Each to their own though - you may find different.

Ohmage = higher the ohms the higher the voltage (or wattage) needed to power it up and the warmer the coil gets so the warmer the vapour. Cool vape = low ohm, hot vape, high ohm. 2.2 ohms is a good mid range.

E-liquid also affects the vape, but you'll find that out as you go along...

I've not noticed any significant decrease in taste or performance after 2 tanks of juice but then again this is a huge improvement to what I was vaping beforehand. How exactly does your coil decrease in performance? Less vapour?

Exactly - less taste, much much less vapour. I have bought a new pack of heads for it thinking it was the two stock heads that shipped with it, but they also seem to do the same. First few tokes are hot-damned amazing - by half a tank its like sucking on a cig-a-like. I have run side-by-side comparisons with the Protank 2 single coil with the same juice endlessly over the last five nights and every time the PT2 takes the biscuit (I have fitted the PT2 with an aero control valve by the way, you can now buy them separately).

I am going to try putting an old PT2 rubber seal whatsit on top of a PT2 single coil head and inserting that into the AT to seal to the chimney and see how that goes.

[edit]So I have tried converting a single coil ProTank 2 head to the AeroTank by putting a second PT rubber thingy on top of the standard rubber thingy, with the flat bit at the top. It fits just about perfectly (aligns with the top of the AT coil rubbery-bit when laid side by side with an AT head) and appears to seal with the chimney with the base ring ending up at about the same level in the aero control valve.

Filled up with some mid-viscosity juice and all appears well so far after half a tank. I'll let you know if there is a messy puddle on the desk in the morning[/edit]
