If I could give 0/10 on IMDB I would, but as you can't 1/10. I couldn't even make it to the end of the film, it is truly terrible. Even the lighting and camera work is terrible, let alone the lack of anything which makes sense. And the girls just do random drunk stuff showing if there bodies, but even that's not any good thanks to the lighting and camera work. Turley terrible.

You have to give credit to the director for achieving the impossible of making a film about 4 seriously hot girls in bikinis incredibly boring
 
Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I've never seen it before. It was brilliant. I loved the tension of not knowing whether the aliens were hostile or not. They carried that really well all the way through.

That's one of my all-time favourite movies.
Don't expect space ships, etc
This is a very subtle/quiet movie with no explosions.
 
Pretty Dead - Alternative take on the Zombie genre and very low budget. Not the best film ever but different enough and worth a viewing. It's not gory but there are some scenes that make you go eugh!

3.5+/5 Carly Oates who plays Regina is beautiful.
 
A bunch of animated kids films that I watched with my little brother and sister, so I'll rate them as such (family movies and not something I would usually sit down and watch alone or with the GF - my ratings should be taken with a suitable pinch of proverbial salt then).

Haven't seen the first one but I found it hard to keep up, I felt I needed ADHD or something? It might have been down to the beers and exhaustiveness of my week, but I fell asleep half way through

The Croods
Really enjoyed it. Made us all laugh out quite a few times. Ok so the story line is a little typical: Family drama adventure where a macho cave man who controls his family has an epiphany and comes through for them all in the end - yay go Dad! The visuals were great and the characters were funny though.

Frozen
Disney animated musical about a couple of princesses. When I read that I was dreading it but I actually really liked it. The writers had some fun with this and the characters were also enjoyable. Admittedly the songs were a little cringe but we enjoyed this one. Visuals were stunning.

When we finished watching that last movie they went to bed and I flicked on the TV to be greeted by a guy having his skull drilled open in SAW III. I thought to myself, "what a contrast that is" :D

Very gripping from start to finish, excellent performances and the pirates are very believable ! Love the fact that they used unknown actors for the movie (Except Hanks and the SEAL leader), even the on board doctor talks like a real doctor.

The Beach

For some reason I always go back to this film. I think it's because I would love to live at such a place, and would drop everything instantly to do so. It'd be perfect.

Amazing film, dicapro is supurb in this, I honestly didn't know it was 3 hours but it went well with the story, nice to see Jonah hill getting in on this film, lots of very good acting, laughs, serious business, and some nice ladies :p
 
13 Assassins

It was on Film4 and 10mins in, I was captivated by it. Evil lord needs to die! Known for the longest fight scene, it didn't disappoint. Had to google abit then realise the Film4 version is an international cut down version, thus the ending annoyed me a little - reading the missed out parts explained loads!

Apparently she is a Navy doctor and was asked to simply react and perform like her day job.

the nurse at the end is a real us navy corpsman who just happened to be the person on shift when they were filming that scene

Dallas buyers club.

Good example of how a fantastic performance does not equate to a great film. MM was outstanding. Not just the physical transformation but the way he played it. Found the film pretty dull though.
