I've got a bruise on my knee after this norning's ride... I was stopping to turn and I was struggling to get my left foot out. I ended up hefting it straight up out of the pedal and cracked it on my bars. Right on the bone. Ouch.

Just heard back from trainerroad about the virtual power profile I used. Apparently the curve is almost exactly the same on the profile I used (wrong one) and the profile I should have used.

Oh well, at least I can just get on with training now without having to bother with another FTP test. Does make you wonder how elite came up with their power curve though as I'm pretty sure my FTP isn't 357W, half that would probably be more accurate.

Rapha sale this morning, spent more than intended...

Highlights were:

Classic wind jacket (£50 down from £120)
Cream pro team jersey (£30 down from £120)
Merino polo shirt (£15 down from £90)

The wife got a couple of bits including the ladies grand tour gloves (£15 from £100).

No medium/large bib shorts unfortunately apart from Sky ones so passed on those. Well worth a look if you're around MCR.

that's good then, but you could always do another test as a training exercise anyway :p

Right, I'm off to eBay.

Edit: dammit, did they only have GT mitts in large or something?

I didn't check for sure but it seemed like there were a few different bins of gloves in various sizes. I tried a small pair but they were very small and didn't look further as I don't really need a pair at the moment. Not sure I'd pay £100 for them but they are certainly very nice quality.

It's frustrating that Rapha said they wouldn't let people bulk buy but there were people buying literally thousands of pounds worth of kit. Saw one £2.5k purchase and apparently there was a £4.4k one later in the day. We were among the first 50 people in the door but there were people before us leaving with bags and bags of stuff, including one cheeky ****er who was sorting through all the variously sized kit he had bought into piles of jerseys/shorts/jackets etc.

I just think if Rapha aren't bothered about people reselling they should just cut out the middleman and go to eBay themselves.
