Is it just me who think that Grant is a bad business man?
If i had a product with so much demand, i would make sure that i made extra as its bad business to turn down trade when you are out of stock?
But that is just my opinion
I got hold of a 3mm x 30mm gauge screw today, identical to an M3. I've got my cotton too. Come on then vape mesh company, send me my wire already, I'm dying to try a microcoil!![]()
Just ordered a VAMO V5 a kayfun clone and a russian 91% from fasttech.
Can't wait for them to get here. just need to find some good liquid.
could someone point me in the direction of some good vendors, with good choice and quality. I dont mind paying a little more if its worth it.
I've been very impressed with Alba Vapours so far. Just put in a second order for more Swedish Fish flavour -- it's delightful.
Personally I find it easiest to wrap around something smooth. I pull my kanthal really tight around whatever I'm wrapping and use quite a long piece so I can yank on it.
Once you get the knack of it it's mega easy
I wrap around cheap jeweller's screwdrivers, the flat ended ones. They've got a big enough handle, and they have a flat part at the bottom of the shaft so you can squish the coil down onto it.
Any others you like especially? Been meaning to get a few from there but I hate just ordering one or two bottles from somewhere because of postage.
Definitely going to pick up some swedish fish and possibly some thug juice.
They use the same flavour concentrates as Mt Baker Vapor I think, they certainly have a lot of the same flavours. Flavor West I think?
I can approve of Thug Juice also, and the Coconut Cream Pie.
Your coils look perfect! Yeah, I was going to buy some glasses screwdrivers but want to see if the threads on the screw help guide my coil or make it more difficult. I also managed to get hold of a screw today like an M2, 2mm. I'll no doubt also try wrapping around something smooth too to see what that's like.
I personally find wrapping around threaded screws ranges from more difficult, to no help, but everyone's different.
I just wrap as tight as I possibly can around something smooth, and do an 'extra' wind at both ends that I then unwrap again to get the number I want. Otherwise the last coil at each end won't be as well-behaved as the others.
Then I stick them on the atty and pulse them, and squeeze them with some flat, quite strong tweezers after I've got them red hot (but not while they're still firing!) which will get them nice and tight.
The resulting coils are really robust and can be re-wicked loads and loads of times. I actually clean them (gently) with a fingernail brush in the sink before I re-wick and they don't go out of shape.
I only heat the wire with a lighter before building coils as well, I haven't got a torch. It takes longer but works well enough in my experience, as long as you get it glowing it takes the spring out of it quite well and it forms to new shapes a lot better. I keep meaning to get a torch but I just forget, and I'm not really sure I need one personally.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks using a threaded screw is difficult. I just had a quick go with a 2mm and 3mm screw and can't for the life of me see if the wire is lining up with the screw threads, just too small for my eyes! I can at least see the wire clearly against the white background of a cotton bud stalk, so might just do it that way.
