Awesome Lt_Red. Very nice indeed, I bet that cost a pretty penny :)
I'm considering the caravela or nemesis in 18350 size from FT but don't think the bottom will screw in or screw in flush with my button top battery plus a vape safe fuse.


I got my smokerainbow samples this morning. Not sure which to leave to steep, don't want to waste them as they're only 1ml, but dripper at the ready!

This is my current inventory:

Magneto clone with Nimbus RDA in 18650 mode

Fave juices at the minute - scopes strawberry, kraken Red Lady and the wonderfull snake oil, I cannot praise this juice enough.

The Nemesis has a removable kick ring that would give you room to work with depending on how big the vapesafe fuse is (why not get a kick?)

Fuse is thinner and does what I need, protect from shorts, and I think from over discharge too. Hmm yeah, the kick ring would help but that makes the mod longer than I want and sort of defeats my purpose for going mech. Maybe I should just not bother with a fuse and be confident I won't get shorts so long as I check and test my coils on my sigelei before putting on the mech.

I only smoke when I have had a beer (i'll possibly have one or two on a standard weekend), I'll smoke a pack of 20 on a night out which is no more than once a fortnight.

A mod is about 3x the size of an ego battery.
 
I'd been having issues with bad draw on my Protank 2s. It seemed to be related to the 510 thread and the little grommet at the bottom getting squashed when screwed down.

So, a couple of days ago I learned about these: http://www.ukecigcabin.com/product/mini-base
They convert the Protank 2 to an eGo base and straight away, all the draw issues were gone. I now get a nice, open draw with loads of flavour.
It says they are for the mini but the fit the Protank2 and Protank 1s too.
 
The Luxe is a thing of beauty :cool:

It's heavier than the Sigelei Zmax in 18650 with the Kayfun on top but is only 95mm-ish long with the drip tip on.


So I built it up with a 1.1ohm coil...








OH MY GOD! Completely blown me away :) Bags of flavour, really simple to build - it just works, looks great and feels like it'll last forever. Not cheap by any means but I'm not disappointed in the slightest. I have an 18650 tube for it incoming direct from Luxe Mods. Should be here tomorrow...

On another note, for those considering Mech Mods, I found this chart the other night which is just so useful its silly - shows you the minimum resistance coil you can build for your given battery:

How much did you pay red?


The fellas over at cloud9 are truly awesome, I asked if they happened to stock or have spare center pins for my kayfun which I can buy from them.

The chap Keith who responded said that they don't but he feels my pain and would send me the one out of his own kayfun lite if I just cover the postage, so kind of him!

I am planning on purchasing an ohm meter, coil and a few other bits on the next week, I'll most certainly be using these guys from now on!
 
I payed... ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY FOUR POUNDS!! sweet bezeezus...

That was including two batts and the engraved drip tip and next day postage. I sent a mail to Luxe mods who took 29 hours to respond - by that time I had gone to cloud9. Money... burning...pocket... But Andy was cool, he rightly pointed out that C9 are an awesome seller. I payed about 15 quid more than direct from luxe mods (including postage) - but be aware that the engraved drip tip is actually cheaper on C9 than direct from the vendor if you are considering spunking a bunch of cash on the best vape at least I have ever tried.

I did take the 18650 tube from Luxe (which you cant buy on C9), and that was another 30 quids. Not cheap but I doubt I will have to spend any more money forever - bar wire and wick.

It's a bit of bling - and vapes like a beast. No regrets (unless the missus sees this post...)

If you are thinking of going into mechanical mods be aware that a 510 ohm meter - whilst very useful for the kayfun etc - will be of no use to you whatsoever unless the atty is 510 connection (which the hybrid luxe is not), so get a multimeter from maplins or something. Does the same job at the same price but wont leave you out in the cold if your atty does not have a 510 connection.

That said the luxe mech mod comes with a 510 adaptor so it will fit the kayfuns and everything. I'll post some images with the kayfun on the mod tomorrow when I have the big tube.

Also you should be aware that you can buy the dripper on its own with a 510 connector for 60 sheets so if you are happy with your VVVW battery set up and have no interest in going below 1.5ohm then thats the cheapest option to get a great vape.

I mix my Red Astaire at 18% and to me the flavour is bang on.
30ml of concentrate would make roughly 165ml

70/30 at 12mg (using 74mg nic)
Nicotine 27.5
PG 58.3
VG 49.5
Red Astaire 29.7

60/40 at 12mg
Nicotine (PG) 28.33ml
PG 43.07ml
VG 68ml
Red Astaire 29.7

It is much cheaper to just buy a bottle of 100ml of 74mg, this will make roughly 600ml of 12mg juice.
Also 12mg would be no good to you, as by the time you add flavouring and VG it will end up about 4-6mg strength.

VG can be bought from Boots, it just called boots glycerin

I have just recieved some Dekang Strawberry and Chocolate (yuck) and some Dekang Coffee (awesome). I will deffo be buying the Coffee again but the choc+strawb will be going ion the bin. I have quite a sweet tooth as well but that was a little harsh on the throat and not much flavour either.

Such people are prime examples as to why I am in no way religious, even being labelled 'atheist' or 'agnostic' annoys me. I don't want to be affiliated with religion to any degree and these labels (even though stating you're not religious) annoy me.
