What film did you watch last night?

Sorry to break up the love in but I watched

No Half Measures: Creating the Final Season of Breaking Bad

Documentary on the making of the final series, comes in at around 2 hrs long but anyone whos a fan wont be put off by that. Interesting to see behind the scenes of such a brilliant but dark series and good to see that Bryan Cranston is as funny behind the scenes as he was in Malcolm In The Middle. Can be a bit luvvie actor in parts but they are living in cloud cuckoo land a lot of the time so I can forgive that.

Pacific Rim (borrowed DVD) a bit meh TBH. Not the best Del toro film I've seen (Blade II is his best) What is it with him casting Ron Perlman in his films, are they drinking buddies

Lone Survivor, 8/10 - I came into watching this film with pretty poor expectations, but quite happily I was surprised! The storyline is good, and the acting is solid, although Wahlberg acting is always a little suspect. It being a true story definitely helped it. I didn't wonder how long was left once through the film, which of late has been a regular occurrence having watched Man Of Steel, Thor: The Dark World and The Wolverine recently!

Definitely worth your time if you like war films.

We've just seen The Lego Movie. Visually it is amazing. There's some good jokes and it rolls along fairly well, though it is chaotic. It's good, but not 169 on the imdb chart good.

Trance on Canada Netflix.
I think I liked it. I've enjoyed the Danny Boyle films I've seen so far (still need to watch Slumdog Millionaire though!)
Quite brutal and quite twisty but pretty much had the twist sussed early on.
Very much enjoyed Rosario Dawson too.... [/perv]

Have to agree with lone survivor too - really enjoyed the film, top notch - loved the action - Not the usual hollywood rambo vs amry but a more accurate take on war, enjoyed it

Forgive me but which film is this? I haven't seen that before I don't think :D

Zodiac (2007), directed by David Fincher, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.

Its a film about the real life 'Zodiac Killer' who operated in California between 1960-70.

Brilliant, but equally horrifying film about the case.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 7/10 - I like the first third, I didn't like the middle third, but I love the last third. Unfortunately I was just really getting into it and it ended. Even though it's 2 and a half hours long, I wanted another 45 minutes; normally I can't deal with films that are that long, but perhaps I was especially awake whilst watching this one!

It's going to be very interesting/awkward in the third and final part seeing as Seymour Hoffman isn't around to shoot it. What a shame.
