*** Official Rugby League SLXIX Thread ***

It will be interesting to see what happens the first time Sammut is tackled at the weekend. :)

I'm sure the Bradford players will express their opinions quite clearly.

Ominous stuff for Wigan. Its taken 26 minutes for them to have a ptb inside 20m. The biggest difference I notice between the SL and the NRL is the size and power of the backs. They are practically SL forwards in size! The power of their running is immense.

Bit of a unit that Pettybourne. I think it was always going to be the result, not a bad effort from Wigan though.

Bloody freezing at Headingley last night, happy with the win but we looked small in the forwards. Backs compensated though.

Bit better from us but no where near good enough.

Eddie seems to think that after two games thats it for Warrington.... might as well rip my season ticket up then :roll eyes:

Think I might watch any Sky games on mute from now on.

I thought Roosters would beat Wigan by 20 and I wasn't too far out. Roosters don't do anything special, they just do everything really quickly, powerfully and accurately. I don't think Wigan did themselves justice. Some worked their chunks off (McIlorum & O'Loughlin in particular), but there were some disappointing efforts. Bowen's performance has its own 8 page (and growing) thread on RLFans and, despite 2 tries, I don't think Charnley put any extra zeroes on his NRL contract next year.

On another note, FFS Sam at least play a game before you start gobbing off:

<sigh>

I use the mute button and listen to Wish FM (a local radio station). There's no going back once you try this :)

HKR back from the dead at Huddersfield. Cas beating Catalan comfortably. A good start to the season

A good fightback to get a draw, but as Anderson said, we were embarrassed in the first half.

He also went on to say that we "were very niggly in the tackle and if they are the tactics we want to employ then we are a disgrace!!"

Hmmmm, take a look in the mirror, because that was a bit rich!

Having said that, I'd expect Poore to get a ban for a high shot today (besides that, Poore was very, very good today). Its what we should expect from him I suppose.

Good grief. Bradford deducted 6 points, which then prompts the prospective new owners to pull out of a deal. Now isn't that just a glowing endorsement of the team!

Desperate times for the Bulls.

I totally agree with the six point deduction. Widnes got a nine point deduction. How was that fair?

I concur.

Nice win by Saints last night, I think they may possibly take SL by storm this year. Provided that Walsh keeps fit, they really will be a team to contend for titles this year. Somehow I doubt we will get the 3 wins over Saints that we got last year! Should be going to the friday night game in a weeks time, meanwhile there is the matter of the Cas game tonight. Looking forwards to it, expecting it to be tight, they always are but hopefully will win!
