Rolled a new DH just to avoid having to buy stuff on the AH, and to get into the swing of things again. I took the Hellfire ring from my Barb but it's really got the wrong stats, str instead of dex!

What's the best way to get the most out of the boss drops? Some guy in game said farm Act 1 hard mode until level 59, then go do all of the bosses/rest of the game to get a good chance at legendary drops from the first kills.

Sounds like a good strategy?

Sounds dull, just play the game and you will get decent stuff. That's the point of the loot system overhaul after all :)

Sent a request to join the clan :)

After hearing about smart drops thought I'd jump on to a wizard and soon enough got a legendary...axe :D

I wish adventure mode wasn't limited to the expansion pack, but will be getting it anyway. :)

So happy to see people back playing this =) Only reason I stopped was because everyone here did and so did my friends, had a go on 2.0.1 earlier and had a lot of fun. Definitely getting back to this.

Had a play on my Barb tonight. My WW build doesn't seem to work very well anymore, however the new changes make way for me to develop my own build which is nice. I really do not know whether to start a new character such as a wizard when the expansion is released and just replay the whole game again, rather then just going to act 5 with my current.

finally patched this up and got back in and really enjoyed it. Was nice to actually get some drops for my class, even got a Legendary glove drop, not a very good one but its the first one ive seen!

Anyone know what a good monk build is these days. I havnt played it for 6 months and back then it was 1h and shield. Im playing on Torment 1 and dont really have the dps for it at the moment although if i can work out the new skill changes then that would help.

this is my monk: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/nin9abadga-2614/hero/1729396 (actually wonder when this was updated, i'm p lvl 49 now)

since the patch I've found the yellow ring, helm and shoulders. I replaced some of my inna's set so lost a lot of spirit regen but gained loads of health and maintained damage output. i'm missing mobility really but I can take on most elites in Torment 1 with no issue. i'm no expert by any means but after some experimentation this is the one that has worked best for me.

they reset all the achievements for bosses, apparently if you kill them anywhere between 1-59 you get a guaranteed legendary drop on first kill. if you kill them at 60 you don't. that is apart from the skeleton king, according to what i read it is bugged and gives a guaranteed legendary on first kill @ 60 - i can confirm that (as of yesterday anyway!). not for the 2nd time though.

in terms of farming, i think the routes are much the same. I had best success in terms of legendaries and xp gain in running the act 1 routes - festering woods primarily, then the keywarden (though the field is just full of those bats) and if I can be bothered to find it the chest event.

edit: interesting, appears they've hotfixed the xp power levelling exploit (cursed chest event)

My WW build is also struggling, going to have to do a bit of experimenting over the weekend. Once RoS drops I think I will batter through Act V with my Barb and then roll a Crusader shortly after.

I started playing my DH, his gear was trash, only PL51, but ive gotten a few upgrades including 2 set items, and now he feels a lot better, i can burn through Torment 1 fairly safely, tonight i plan on running through the entire game again from start to end, obviously i probably wont complete it in one sitting but it will be fun to see how far i can get.

did nearly 10 paragon levels last night started doing Torn lvl 1 Solo and it was slow doing but actually fun until you get a group of reflecting vamperic extra health time to quit elites.

Jumped in with some 3-4 randoms and ripped up act 1 and 2 in no time, was good fun and I actually got some loot that was an improvement.

The new loot system is superb, it makes it worthwhile playing the game. I've had four Legendary items drop in two sessions and the yellow loot is nearly always an improvement on what you currently wear.
