That is a beautiful bar turn Cow. Wish I had friends who could take pictures of me. (Not necessarily on the bike right enough...)

not sure if poking fun at me or not :p

Either way, knowing people with good cameras is very cool - though somewhat deflating to see how **** things really look :D

:)

We got some cracking photos in France as one of the guys out with us is doing photography at uni and brought his big camera out. I'm sure you've all seen them though.

No such luck this year it seems.

Any trails to visit north east? I'm 30mins north of Newcastle for the next four weeks.

Hamsterly forest isn't that far, and has some good riding.

The downside with it is that the signposted routes are a bit naff, and it really works best when you know the place pretty well and can ride just the best sections of it.

The black should give you a good run, with the 2nd half being better than the first.

I may well be there on Saturday if that'd be any use to you? :)

My new frame has arrived which im looking forward to building over the next few months. Having clown wheels might get some hate on here though :p

Not sure whether im going to keep my enduro or not once this is built.

One question you guys might know?....This is classed as having a PF30 BB. Am i correct in thinking BB30 and PF30 are the same thing? I ask as im using a praxis works adapter on my HT (Cannondale flash) so i can use my XTR cranks which i plan on bringing over to this frame.

The thing is Praxis have 3 adapters listed one PF30 and the other two as BB30 68 and 73

Measure the diameter of the hole and check if it has two slots for circlips within the shell itself.

42mm diameter and circlip grooves means BB30
46mm diameter and no groves will mean it's PF30

The extra space is for the plastic sleeve that the PF30 uses so the adapters will be different sizes.

Ah thats answers it - Thanks a lot.

My dale is 42 with circlip grooves where as this is 46 with no groves - looks like i need another adapter then or get some new cranks.

About 2 hours away from me, but nothing else to do this weekend. So yeah give us a trust if you fancy it dude :)

Evening Guys,

my fox Flux helmets been used for around 2 years now and the clip that fastens the strap keeps coming loose which is a problem when it's windy! Any recommendations for a new helmet? Don't mind the looks of the bell ones with the large back part to them.
This seems a slightly cheaper alternative, anyone tried it ?

The last bell helmet I bought made my head look like a mushroom, have you looked at the Urge All Mountain? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/urge-all-mountain-helmet-2014/rp-prod109540

Have you emailed Fox? Always worth a go? Don't mention how old it is unless they ask :)

Transporting bikes in a van?

Right, mate's a landscape gardener and drives a fully panelled Vauxhall Vivaro for work. We use it at weekends for mountain biking, and did have a makeshift wooden contraption setup in the back to transport 3 bikes standing up side by side, but it fell to bits, lol!

He can't put any permanent fittings and fixtures in the back as he's got to carry loads of different things through the week, has anyone got any good suggestions for carrying bikes (preferably upright to minimise the chance of any damage!) in the back of a van? Cheers. :)

Tubeless - how often do you change the gunk in the tyres? I've been riding for about 14 months with no hassles/leaks etc but thinking of changing the gunk.

But it's a faff taking tyres off, cleaning them out, more gunk and inflating again etc (yeah yeah I should have removeable core valves and I could just pour some more in etc etc but I don't)

Project I'm working on atm - still a work in progress - just finishing the battery box atm.
