I did laugh when I googled what that Jamie Lannister actor had been in before. He played one of the dope head Dutch guys in Lock stock the TV series. He was such a parody of a dutch guy I assumed it was just bad acting!

Took me a while to twig Dennis Pennis as well :D

Ah, thanks. Keep on getting the Martells and Tyrells mixed up for some reason. Want to check up about about if I should already know about Oberyn and the Martlells already but get the Spoiler Dread if I go anywhere google with GOT questions :mad:

As far as I recall the Martells was mentioned by Tyrion way back in season 2, episode 3. This is where Tyrion is testing how much he can trust the small council members. telling each of them a different lie :)

I don't think Oberyn was mentioned at all though.

The theory I've heard (and agree with) is that Bron is taking the place of Ser Ilyn Payne, as Wilko Johnson is so ill. So the fight is not all it seems.

However...

An interview with Flynn suggests he may get to be in a more serious fight as well. My money is on another fight you see in that trailer where you catch a brief glimpse of the two people on one side of it, but not who they are fighting. One of the opponents in the book is already dead in the TV series, so the writers may give the visible two a new set of opponents including Bron. It would complete a scene from series two if they did. It would also be very annoying.
 
Just in case this is useful to anyone else, but Sky's NowTV will apparently have the whole lot, including the new series from April 7th. I used my free trial month a while back to catch up on a few movies, but it'll only cost me 4.99 to sign up for a month and watch them all in HD.

Well, I hope it's HD anyway. I wasn't impressed by the DVD quality on the first two series (all I've seen so far).

Edit: the offer only lasts until the end of May, so it's possible 2 months subscribing might be required to cover the end of season 4. Might be more cost effective to wait longer, miss the offer, and only pay for one month.

if your going to all that trouble and cost is an issue why not just torrent them?

blah, blah, blah about it not being right, it's the same as downloading music which i'm sure everyone has done.
 
Fair enough. They are all on Sky On Demand at the mo now too.
Also just spotted The Politics Of Power: A lookback at season 3 on youtube too..

That's a fair point, but I very rarely buy hard copies of anything any more. I got rid of most of my DVDs etc when I realised I have a very broad range of interests and hardly ever watch things twice. The Sopranos and The Wire are notable exceptions, but even then, I struggle to justify the shelf space and have only watched them twice.

Heck, I've even started buying kindle books instead of the real thing... I reached a clutter threshold, and buying a bigger home isn't likely this side of a lottery win. :-)
 
Finally got around to watching GoT and finished Season 3 via Sky OD.

Season 3, Episode 9. OMG!

Both missus and I were shocked. Enjoyed it thus far and can't wait for the release of Season 4 next month!!
 
Bought season 1-3 on blu-ray three weeks ago and watched a season a week since. Fully prepared for season 4 now.

Yeah, season 3, episode 9, just wow.
