Was talking a little bit about this last night on the clan chat, 1 person said it's already out there and another said it's coming in RoS if I remember correctly. Death's breath, basically I can't train my blacksmith any further until I come across some. Anyone have any idea where to get this? Does it only drop on a certain difficulty? Have killed quite a few elites/champions/bosses over the last few days but haven't seen it drop anywhere.

Yep if players are lower DPS I don't mind if they offer something like monks with Mantra attack speed buff or a Wizard who can perma freeze mobs but if your DPS isn't high enough and you're just standing attacking it actually slows it down as each extra player adds a fair chunk of HP to each monster especially elites/champs.

Public games are a nightmare at higher torments, so many people with under 100k dps trying to do T6 runs.

I can solo torment 3 with a 125K DPS wizard fairly easily. I imagine playing 200K plus on the same difficulty would be like pre patch when everything including bosses were a complete joke and died instantly or in seconds.....which is fun for a bit but gets boring fast.

I see an influx of people playing this since a patch. I find it hard to believe that this has become a reasonable game from a patch? It was boring as hell before and disappointed me massively.

What are the key changes that have made it so much better?

I've never played Diablo 3 but keen to get started on the campaign. Can anyone recommend 'the best' class to go with etc...? I prefer being a defensive player

Well for a patch it was actually pretty large.

So they changed the loot system to supposedly intelligent loot so its more likely that drops will be useful and that the stats assigned to the items make more sense.

They changed the difficulty levels to increase difficulty.

New events and bits implemented ready for ROS.

Im sure they also altered some of the boss fight mechanics as some of them seemed easier when I played last time.

Im sure the patch notes are available online to look over.

Sorry but you were being carried. I think people's idea of what meaningful contribution is will be influenced heavily by their experience..until you play a 200+kdps character its difficult to appreciate.I took my 80kdps wizard into torment 1 and nearly cried at how slow it was compared to my dh, and dh's are probably the weakest class at the moment.

not denying that :p as I said... I had 25k dps... on normal I'd probably be carried xD but I was freezing every ******* in sight ;) group didn't seem bothered either way about my contribution, we all just got on and did the job at hand :p me being lvl 60 and paragon 7 with gear from about 12/18 months ago (when I entered the party) and them being paragon level 40+ :p

Sesamic Slam shield barb on hardcore would be best for you.

Just do not die. :p

That was pure jibberish to me haha - though it does sound like I won't survive long?

Monk or Barbarian with a 1 hander plus shield will be really tanky (albeit a bit slower to kill monsters). Both have plenty of obviously defensive talents. The pleasure from the game will be from discovering these as you go :)

i have a barb and DH both level 60 pre patch. Decided to start a wizard post patch. Is there any "powerleveling" to be done to get to 60 asap?

does joining fellow OcUK members games grant me massive exp if i hang back and try not to die?

Agreed with this. The T4 game I joined with my Barbarian the other night was a prime example of annoying (I was the annoying one) - whilst I had warcry running I was adding nothing else.
Yet I feel if I joined with my Wizard that overall isn't geared aswell, the perma freezing would be really handy.

Played a bit yesterday evening with an old Uni friend, with me using the chill/freeze wizard and him using a shock/stun wizard. Needless to say we didn't really get hit too much :p

It is currently double xp atm so you could powerlevel yourself. One of my mates started torment (crazy ) at level 1 and by the time he reached skeleton king he was 48 :D

It's quite easy to get someone to 60, I think it was davieg if I remember correctly who helped me on my Wizard, I got from 1-50 in around an hour, then leveled myself in a couple more. That was only on T2 as well and probably not the most effective way, I've heard of 1-60 runs in under an hour.

Nope, it's super easy. If you have a hellfire ring, the proc can one shot packs of mobs up until level 10-15. All that's required then is a weapon with a socket so you can throw a radiant star or marquis ruby in it. You'll be doing way more dps than required for T1 or T2. I leveled up a WD and my wizard through torment 2 solo and it took less than 3 hours to hit 60 on both. Working on a monk at the moment, should be even quicker as I'm 37 and have only just killed SK.

only issue is i have no gear at all other than rings/amulet that i can use for a character lower than 60.

will have a look on the AH tonight if its still up. only have about 2.5m gold but should be enough to get me some 20-55 lvl range gear.

Had forgot about the Hellfire rings. Think I have a few keys along with few of the final items, so guess I just need to go buy the plan and make one or more :)

Anyone potentially up for some hellfire farming later? :D
