all these allegations, no responses, i am starting to think as the old saying goes, the customer is always right :O

The OP has opened themselves to lots of awkward questions when there would have been no need, once they've informed the police.

I'm guessing he takes items in at the shop and sometimes repairs them later at home, and takes them back tothe shop later.

but then why would the young girl need to collect it from his house? if it was repaired and ready to take away from the shop?

and we still dont know where his finger was

Difficult one this.... if you leave it then you run the risk of the bloke spreading rumors along the lines of "he didnt chase me for the money so he MUST be a paedo"

Or you do report him and he starts spreading rumors that you are a paedo anyway....

Very VERY bad idea having customers collect repairs from anywhere but the business.

I'm guessing when the original request was made to collect by the daughter, the item was at OPs home. Later the item was back at the shop when dad collected.

We won't know until/if the OP responds.

when i used to sell tv channels before i got promoted, we used to have to profile the customers finding out what they all watch in the house, one of the standard questions to find out if we need to sell childrens tv was "how old are your kids" now to me when trying to sell something is inocent. Usually people like to chat about their kids and show them off, but oh no not Mr. X he accused me of being a peodophile took it as far as he could untill the company stuck up for me and slapped him back down. i personaly would take it as far as you can, get proper legal advice as if your shop was full there is quite a few people with a tarnished view of the episode
