[MAFIA] The Thirteen Doctors

I'm reluctant to vote for either Iviv or Chris as they are really driving the game at the moment.

I find it odd that one of the players who is showing town more than anyone else is leading the vote so convincingly whereas those who aren't making any effort to get involved are being overlooked.

Some people don't want this game driven. They want to post jokes, continue "having nothing to go on" and accuse pro-town players, preferably without even voting. Sound like mafia to you?

Bottom line is my feelings haven't changed - iviv and chriscubed are still top of my ****list "acting in the best interests of the town" - although shorttricky obviously has issues :D

My only strong scum read at the moment is Pookie. Declares lynch needed early on, but then says people who vote are suspicious. Then accuses the scumhunters who are trying to give us something to go on. He's just confirmed it by taking me to L-2. Pookie if you are town, re-evaluate who is helping the town and who is happy to stay safe as part of the herd.

vote: Pookie Bear

Back and forward on Chris? It's day 1, what really has been done to rouse your suspicion?!

A couple of strange things, most of which have been spoken about by myself and others.
He stated he was town straight out of the gate.
He is new to the game but starting talking with authority. - He has explained this.
He thinks iviv is town without much to go on.

The guy has 5 votes, and I have not voted for him and you are asking me to justify a comment about going back and forward while others are outright wanting him dead?
2 more votes and he is gone and I am going back and forward on voting for him for the above reasons and getting rid of someone who is active.

Haha, must have missed that rule in skim reading!

Equally I have little else to say so see little benefit in posting more - just seems like a group of people actively spamming to make other people seem quiet could influence the game

not really spamming the game, i assume most of us have more time than others to post, so it kinda splits into 2 groups. 1 group who post constantly and comment on most post trying to figure out who is the scum, or push the town forward. the other group are those who either dont check the thread often, are lurking (which has been proven not to work) or those who dont have a lot of time so read the thread when they have a chance and comment where they can so look like they are very inactive. as a result some claim lurking and vote those players out

Posting is information. If you don't post, nobody knows anything about you, which is the ideal place for a mafia to hide. Look at the accusations that are going on because people post and vote. After a lynching, tearing the vote down is importing. Who voted for the lynch, and when? If it was a townie kill, did a mafia start it? Or did they all jump in half way through to join the bandwagon? Or did someone see it was at one more vote to kill and decide to bring down the hammer and get the townie killed. There's a lot of information that can be gained.
If you're quiet, you just look suspicious because you don't give the town any information. And the scum don't want the town to have information.

Its not the people dont want the town driven, there is influencing the town and then forcing the town to take action. My vote for you is down to your voting for people who do not posting, you claim it is to encourage talk, but what i feel it is, is you trying to post to not seem scum and then pointing at the low posters saying "look they arent posting, they must be scum" before you post saying im trying to silence someone pro town, i didnt vote for iviv, i do feel he is townie as he voted to get discussion and then voted for someone who genuinely looked like scum.

You might not be one of them, but there certainly are people who don't want the town driven. Voting for me doesn't make you scum, but you aren't helping town and you'll see that if I'm hammered.
I used my vote to encourage the lurkers to talk. This worked - as soon as shorttricky had posted and come across as town I withdrew.
I am now voting for someone I genuinely consider to look like scum as his "voters are suspicious" strategy is anti-town.
I have defended myself so as to be honest and open and to hopefully stop us ending up with another game with an active townie getting lynched.

Yes, I called you out for that. Set up a unsure stance on that, prep for a middle of the lunch mob vote, nice and plausible excuse when a townie is lynched.

I've just come from playing a mafia role, I'm highly suspicious of any cunning tactic I'd use. And I would use that.

I have to say I'm finding myself agreeing with a lot that Chriscubed is saying and I share the same thoughts about how we should be progressing on day1. My feelings now are that both Iviv and Chris are town and therefore I'm removing my vote on Chris.

That is fair enough, my final comments may have seemd a bit more aggressive than they should have.

I know that calling him out and voting for someone else looks suspect as all hell and I know from experience that being constantly accused when you are town is frustrating as well but he doesn't help himself.

He has gone and changed his vote to Pookie quoting a, by this point, reasonably old post as the reason. And again he confirms that he things iviv is town.

I can't see a recent post where Chris has said iviv is town, he's said his actions are pro town and they are. Chris has also voted for loads of people, another random vote posting isn't a concern

Misinformation? Encouraging a bandwagon? Being unsure and not yet voting on the bandwagon?

vote: fortyseven

Remember, we have just under 24 hours to get a 7 man vote on someone. If you aren't going to be available between 8-10pm for the discussion then make sure you get a vote cast in advance.

Reading through the thread, the first 3 1/2 pages are full of nothing. Here's some rough analysis based on what's happened so far:
Psymonkee - Nothing posted of value so far, simply stating events which have happened in the game. Fewest posts so far. - Not currently voting
Shorttricky - Few posts, has a couple of 'niggles' but no detail. - Not currently voting
Pudney - Talks about needing people to participate and how important voting is, but doesn't do either of these things. Looking pretty suspicious. - Not currently voting
K1LLSW1TCH - Works nightshifts I assume, so only active over night. Not much content posted. - Not currently voting
Kaiowas - Seems to be pretty townish so far. - Voting for Psymonkee
Fortyseven - Maybe it's best to lynch him before he can confuse us? Seriously though, vote for pookie with little reasoning. Not too much of value posted. - Voting for Pookie Bear
Shamikebab - Very confrontational early on, possibly jumping onto the chris bandwagon,
dismissive of attempts to learn anything. Later posts seem more townie, but I'm not convinced - Voting for Chriscubed.
Pookie - Wants to vote for me, clearly scum! :p Not getting much of a read, leaning slightly towards town, made some analysis posts. - Voting for Chriscubed.
Chriscubed - On the fence again. Taken a bit of an 'I did my research I know what's going on' path, but his posts seem pretty analytical and sensible, bar his first vote. - Voting for Pookie Bear
Brabbinho - Lots of posts, absolutely zero content. Currently top of my scum list. - Voting for Christcubed
Leprechaun312 - Seems to have a good head on his shoulders, sensible posting bar one of his earlier posts. Leaning town - Voting for Chriscubed
Egon - Understands the game, making good posts throughout, pretty certain he's a townie. Voting for Chriscubed.

##Vote Brabbinho

Will see how things go tomorrow and will likely have to switch my vote to ensure that there is a kill made, but Brabbinho seems to be making lots of noise but no real sound.

Ok, the vote count on my post was correct as of when I started writing it, which was actually a couple of hours ago. Everything else still stands, unless someone admitted they are scum in the past 2 hours!
