[MAFIA] The Thirteen Doctors

Ok, after going over the last 3 pages, Brabbinho has said nothing really productive other than to check out the possible roles. Given my stated distrust of abstention on day 1 this is where my vote is likely to go right now.
 
I find it odd that one of the players who is showing town more than anyone else is leading the vote so convincingly whereas those who aren't making any effort to get involved are being overlooked.

Without wanting to be difficult could you actually say who the players who need to post more actually are, not sure if I'm one :p
 
I voted early on Chris to get the discussion going. As Iviv has pointed out on a number of occasion we need a lynch to give us a better statistical chance of finding Mafia in the next round. As a result there is no point not voting. So I either keep my vote where it is or change it. Until we find someone more deserving of a vote (which is very hard to establish on day 1) I will leave mine where it is.

Someone else previously mentioned but we have unsuccessfully targeted the quiet townsfolk in previous games, is it not worth considering if that is the right strategy?
 
Quiet in my experience has been about a busy real life, not a mafia tactic as such. Vague posts, just agreeing and actively not participating in votes are the common tactics so far.

Honestly, I have nothing solid to go on. Leprechaun's vote for Chris was a little out of nowhere - Pookie, you've been quite back and forth on lynching. Vague things, I know. It just niggles...imagine you had a seed stuck in your teeth...that kind of niggle :D

Two issues with your assumptions; 1) I'm not mafia and 2) the mafia are not allowed to talk during day one!

Finally, I'm not back and forth - I wholeheartedly agree that a lynching must take place, I just don't think that randomly selecting people and voting for them is the way to achieve that......which leads me to....

What kind of experiment is that? Just dipping your toe into the water and seeing if anyone else will jump on the bandwagon?

Any particular reason you chose me?
 
As far as quiet townsfolk go.

If we lynch them and they are scum (low probability) - great news for townies
If we lynch them and they are town (high probability) - great news for the scum

Only thing wit the last one is, what use is a quiet townie anyway? It's anti-two to stay quiet, whether they intend to or not. So voting to lynch a quiet townsfolk isn't always a bad tactic regardless of how they flip. Just look at Ghost last game, he was impossible to read given his lack of input and the townies didn't know what to do with him.

That was me pointing out that picking on the quiet people has so far failed to net us a mafia member. So, let's pick a mouthy person!

Personally, I'd have preferred to go for iviv, but if we're to reach a majority, it's not just about me... so:

Yes. Pretty much just doing my toe in the water.

I am going back and forward on Chris. If he is town are the mafia holding off dropping the hanger? Do they think this would be too suspicious? Have they already voted?

He and iviv have changed votes a number of times as they both think this drives discussion. On the whole it seems to have just backfired and kept the votes in Chris.

I will be honest and say I voted you as there is nothing to go on at all (nothing to suggest you are scum) and did want to see if there were any biters. Basic tatic I know but every little thing may help.
