What's people's opinions on a decent tank? I've got a aerotank that burns through heads every 2 days and a iclear30 which lasts ages but hardly any taste?

Starting to wind me up big time!

The best clearo tank i've used is the aspire nautilus, but now i've got a KFL(albeit a clone) i wont be going back.

No worries Hamster, enjoy :)

Now then guys, I'm a little annoyed at something tbh, please tell me if I'm justified or simply throwing toys out the pram. I don't want to make this public on UKV because it's probably an unfair thing to do considering the vendor posts there ocassionally, but I think I can mention it here.

As you can see above, I ordered 6 more juices from vaping king yesterday. I sent a message to Billy King, quoting my order number, absolutely gushing about how wonderful his juices are, telling him how I recently bought monkey jizz, then bought another bottle for my brother, then bought apple pie last week, and am now buying 6 more flavours from him, and also linked him to my glowing review on UKV about his apple pie. I then said to him "I know it's a bit cheeky to ask, but any chance you might be able to slip me a 1ml sample of rhubarb and custard with my order as I can't get on with my alchemists cupboard rhubarb and custard, too perfumey, and wanted to find out if I'd prefer buying yours. Cheers! "

This is the response I got, no more words than this "There has been a response by Billy King to your ticket #- Request for sample.

Sorry but I don't do small sample bottles, they arent cost effective."

That's it, that's all I got back. No gratitude for doing the review which effectively promotes his business, and no tiny sample thrown in considering I'm obviously a good customer that might have actually bought the rhubarb and custard. While I shouldn't expect to get a freebie, I can't say I'm not disappointed with such lack of goodwill, considering other vendors have thrown in freebies to keep me coming back. I could understand him turning down people who haven't bought anything, but come on, I'm spending money buying his stuff. I'm sure his profit margins are tight, but it's a bit ungracious of him isn't it? How expensive would it be for him to throw in a small vial of juice to entice me further?

A 10ml bottle with a couple of ml in would not have done any harm tbh, word of mouth counts for a lot in the vaping world imo. Scope regularly sends 5ml samplers with my order and so does kraken when I order 30ml or more and that was without even requesting any. It works too as I have discovered new flavors and subsequently made repeat orders.
At least he replied though.

My scopes apple tart has been dispatched today, I ordered 2 x 10ml bottles. Hmm, I hope he sends me a sampler :)

Well yea, he replied but I'm not impressed. Yes he does have a discount code, but then so do most other vendors. He does also have a points loyalty scheme. But exactly as you mentioned, word of mouth is everything and you were enticed into buying more juices by being given teasers, it worked. If I find another vendor whose liquids I like as much, I won't be giving him more of my money. That's going to be tough though. He probably knows how good his stuff is, which is probably the reason he doesn't appear to care all that much about keeping regular customers happy. Pity.

Scopes always gives a sample. I received a 5ml Banana from him for free which I thought - ick, banana. Yuck. But no, its was one of the the best vapes I have tried for ages. I don't even like bananas!! Not too keen on the Apple Tart though. Going to let it steep for a week and come back to it. Taste is subjective though.

I'm still shouting about Mystic Juices from Cloud9 - not one have I disliked. Currently vaping RY4 special. This is a dry tobacco flavour with a hit of toffee! On the most part I don't like baccy juice but man after 10 weeks of no smokes I am worryingly enjoying being around smokers at the moment. This juice hits the mark in so many ways. Generally I find the Mystic Juices give a really thick vapour.

Stopped buying from Triphammer for now and too many juices were all tasting the same. Tempted by his Crunchie and Cream egg flavours though. You definitely need to plan ahead with Trip - they need at least a week sat with the cap off to develop.

Recently I have been having a hell of a time with the Kayfun - keep burning through the cotton wick after a few hours leaving it useless. A real nightmare when I was out and about. Took it apart to rewick AGAIN and found that I had wrapped the coil around a 1.2mm driver instead of the 1.8mm. I could not work out why the ohms were low when I was coiling it. *facepalm*

Lesson learned.

(Just to clarify, I never expect to get samples but I think it's very nice and good business sense to build up a good reputation. I don't think any less of people that don't give them though providing the product and service are of good quality. Don't forget that ultimately, people are running businesses and they simply may not have the time to faff about with little sample bottles etc for all their customers)

I've found him to be a bit of an arse in the past. He was basically having a go at his customers for the fact that he had bitten off more than he could chew and couldn't cope with orders.
He was also getting shirty that people were contacting him about business on the only number he made available to people over a weekend...

Anyway, I don't wanna turn this into a **** off vendors thing but he annoyed me enough to take my business elsewhere.
He may have just been stressed ;)

I understand your pain Merlin, seems quite obvious to me Triphammer dropped the ball there.
Even a no sample, though thank you for the feedback would have been sufficient.

Anyone here own or owned a Taifun GT, recently expanded my collection with one, but having a hell of a time getting it working correctly - just tastes muted, apparently its supposed to be as good as the kayfun, my kayfun is muted but this is in another league - seriously wondering if my silica is the cause of it, and my cotton wool and yarn, as i seriously doubt i could be getting it wrong all of the time.

Air hole on the Taifun is confusing me, in all videos they dont mention any distance or even show it, like they do with a kayfun, so no idea if its supposed to be close, or high, or mount high then move the airtube up (not sure how with the coil above it)

Sits nicely on my EHPro EA clone, but once my PapsX turns up will be even nicer.

If anyone's a member of the UKVapeTrades group on Facebook, some handsome chap is taking orders for a MicroCoiling Kit...
;)

Can anyone link to this post please? I've been scrolling and scrolling for 10 minutes on the page but cannot find the post(s) :-(

edit: scrap that, eventually found you with a bit more persistence!

As per FB message, give me a shout when you're doing another run, or if someone bails out on current order for that matter :p

Here is a handy little program, that will tell you what ohms you will end up with after wrapping around a diameter and how many coils you will use.

Ok I've been dormant for ages and not spent anything on new shinies around 8 months since my KFL / pro vari mini combo has answered my vaping needs... aside from one thing: leakage out the damn airhole!

so here's my question - is there a mod (not genesis) which performs similarly to the KFL that doesn't leak?

oh and 1 year and a few weeks tobacco free :)

Quick bit of advice needed, I have some mixing bits left, PG, VG and Capella Custard flavouring, I've ordered some Nic base and a couple of other flavours. Looking to mix up some vanilla custard using Grant's recipe, I was just wondering can I get a small head start on the process and mix the vg/pg and flavouring amounts now and then add the nic base and other flavouring in when they land? I'll obviously calculate the final values for a set amount of juice and stick to these measurements when mixing what I have to hand.

If its leaking from the airhole then it means you have flooded the chamber, take the atty and blow really hard and that should clear up the excess juice....just make sure you have some tissue at hand.

I used to have this issue a lot on my KFL but the best way i have figured to fill it it up is by holding the kfl at an angle with the mouthpiece facing downwards then filling it that way. Soon as you see the air bubble at the top of the window start to get smaller...stop filling it. Take the screw and screw it back in whilst holding it at a slight angle. Id also suggest getting some plumbers tape ie pfte and wrap a tiny bit around the screw before you screw it in.

Doing that, i havent had one single leak for almost 6 mths now.

It may work but i very much doubt it as the nicotine does influence the final flavour through the oxidizing process afaik.
That is why a custard juice will darken over time.

whats this recipe you are using?
The PVC recipe (the first one) here is very nice
http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/26864/members-eliquid-recipes-vanilla-collection?page=1&scrollTo=631062

And i agree with Yas, i have had a KFL now for 8 months plus and have never had a leak yet. It does sound like you are flooding it.

Fair enough just starting to run a bit low on my pre-mixed supplies...

The recipe I found is meant to be:
Capella Vanilla Custard 18-20%
Perfumer's Apprentice Dulche De Leche 2%
Two drops Ethyl Maltol per 10ml total mix.

Thats the first ever VC recipe i tried lol, its off the UKV thread.
The addition of the French Vanilla Deluxe will vastly improve it imo, it gives it a more vanilla'ee taste and also makes it more creamy.
The above PVC recipe i linked to is far nicer imo and i still add about 1% DDL to it.
But taste is subjective

Also it takes about 3-4 weeks to steep, but gets better the longer it steeps.

edit.
My own recipe which i have tweaked so it tastes the nicest for me is
18% VC
5% FVD
1% DDL
2% Sweetener (or Ethyl Maltol)
1% Vanillin (i buy this in powdered form, and mix 1g with 10ml of PG)
