An items stats are already decided upon drop.

This is not true from what I've read in the patch notes. The item stats aren't determined until you id the item.

If you collect it on your barb but he doesn't need it you can pass it to your monk. The stats rolled are specific to the class id'ing the item.

You can also only sell un-id'd items. Once id'd they are account bound.

Just been playing again after not having touched it for about 5 months :)

Really struggling with any decent drops, have reset the questline and playing through on Torment 1.

My Barb at the moment

Struggling as soon as I pop it onto torment 2, is it just me being a tool (This is highly possible) or do I need some serious gear upgrades?

Barb seems to have taken a dps hit. I've just recently logged in after a year off. I was up at 130k dps before patch but now only put out 65k!

Played for a few hours, got a few drops, now up to 85k and struggle to hurt things on torment II. Bit of work to do!

I have a 155k dps barb and i dont do anything other than normal with him solo, its just painfully slow on torment1 and above, just not worth the time, i have a 260k dps wizard who can farm t3 as fast as my barb solos normal pretty much.

Barbs are fun and i used mine to get crusader type drops, but now you reckon that item stats arent decided until ID'd i might swap back to the Wizard for farming items for the Crusader.

What spec are you using for Barb? mine tears stuff up torment 1 with 190k dps or so with a Skorn.....but doesn't kill as fast as my wiz which then again has 305k damage.(frozen orb spec is ridiculously good too)

Ive been using Dual Wield with WW spec, i have a couple of skorns in the bank also, but i found a decent pair of 1h's one of thems a set 1h was hoping to find its partner lol.

WW spec i know isnt very good dps, i could probably change my spec and be a lot more efficient, open to suggestions :)

Try sesamic slam with the 710% damage frost rune....last one if i remember.

Throw weap is good for generating the fury fast too.I am still messing about with mine finding a real good spec but sesamic slam hits damn hard and multi targets which it also snares too.

I got 2 very good 1h weaps that provide about 20k less damage than my skorn but the fury generation is better so it's hard deciding though skorn rend damage seems to hit real hard now i think.

I'm having a similar problem with this chap. Solo T1 is fine, wouldn't say I'm melting mobs but they drop in reasonable time. Once I hop into the higher torments though it feels like it's taking all day to drop bosses and mobs, he can take a pretty good beating but I don't feel like I'm dropping enemies fast enough. Any suggestions? Is it time to finally give up on WW?

Looking for a bit of advice on my wizard build

link

We've moved up to T1/T2 and I was using a first Disintegrate then Arcane Torrent based build but as the health of the mobs has gone up I'm struggling with arcane power, even with both familiar, passive and magic weapon set to regen. My items have some fairly significant bonuses to skills I'm not using, here's a list:

Wave of Force Damage - 12%
Arcane skills - 19%
Fire Skills 19% AND reduced resource cost by 25%
Spectral Blade 26%
Arcane Torrent 23%

That Spectral blade one on my wand in particular seems pretty significant but it's not a skill I've used, I haven't really tried many fire skills either but as you can see I've just got a legendary chest armour that gives them a fair boost. Does anyone have any experience with fire skills on a wizard? Is it worth switching to a fire/arcane build or is Arcane only more effective?

I have a cindercoat in the bank, i think i will change WW for Seis slam, change my primary attack to firebased throw weapon, remove COTA and replace with Earthquake and its Fire rune, and then see how i get on

some way through actII now and jumped up the difficulty to T1 ;) up a few more paragons :D got some legend gloves but think they are worse than what I got... boo :( well.. for damage at least xD

depends, they made skills and builds more diverse, so gear can support specific skills.
I play a barb with fire skills atm.
crit and critdmg is needed.

I use an aoe build for my playstyle.
