Well I have had a fair bit of ear ache this morning. Seems my wheel is making a fair bit of noise (well the FFB).

My office is next to our bedroom and I play a lot once my lass has gone to bed! I never realised how loud it is since I always play with my headphone on!

New quiet wheel required I think ;-)

Aye, I went back to it after I lost my cool with trying to do 5 clean laps of Road America lol! After racing Mazda Cup and trying Road America, im a long way off going for the RUF I think.

Wow some of the faster guys in iracing are taking the C Spec Ruf round suzuka in 2.04's i can barely scrape a 2.07 out of the damned thing lol, using the same setups, tweaked brake bias to around 62% as i seem to brake earlier than everyone else, yet if i try and brake later i either lock the fronts or on the downshifts lock the rear and spin out.
Still fun though, apart from at the moment im getting the dreaded Receive Throughput Unacceptable and booted off :( trying to work out the issue but nobody seems to know.

some nice results :D

that sucks about the throughput thing. have seen people leaving sessions with that message popping up. not some like crazy firewall interference or something?

I was raging so hard the other night on the final day of the charlotte road mx-5 track. in 3-4 TT's I didn't get a single set of 6 clean laps xD dunno what was wrong with me... just lots it all :\ SR kept going up though... haha!

new mx-5 track last night was quite good fun in practice. did a lap in 2nd gear to try and remember the corners, 2nd lap got a horrid time of like 1.24.... lol few laps later I'm at 1.07.xxx I know I can get a second or two more but it's just trying to find the right lines for me around some of the corners :p nice track though.

excited about tonight ;) gunna be a good laugh, I really hope I just don't **** on anyone if I make a mistake (which is inevitable personally :p ). good thing it won't wreck others scores ;) though I'm more likely to go flying off the track into a wall than anyone else so you guys should be safe ;) or me being rammed (if I somehow end up in front of anyone, lapped? :p ) because of my probably shocking braking points :p

Yeah some of the guys on Iracing are just crazy fast. I dread to think what I would go round Suzuka in the ruf, will give a try tonight and let you know lol

Looking forward to tonight also so just a quick reminder for everyone that is interested:

What MX-5 Are you using? As I used the Roadster for Charlotte which is perfect, however for Okayama I use the Cup! I cant get within a second of my time using the roadster! Also watch a few videos on where to brake etc. I dropped my time by 0.4xx alone by not braking around corners! My fastest time so far is 1.04.221 and I know I can break the 1.03.xxx time if I get a good lap together! Fastest in the Roadster is a 1.05.105 for example :)

I'm glad I was in the Roadster...

They really should put some tyres round that fence :o

ahhh nice... hummm might give it a go and yeah, losing most of my speed through over braking and braking when I don't need to, like you said some where it's foot to the floor ;)

been having fun trying different approaches to corners and braking points.... though usually ending up with me back to front in the grass against a wall ;) quite a few it's just trying to find the line and speed to just glide through it seems.

I will look at some vids though, or just follow some of you guys round the track ;)

LoL marsh! I had a funny one last night. see if I can get a pic up of it now. one for the Stance fans ;)

check out the camber on that ;) wait..... did I do it the wrong way? :p
(also excuse the pixels, was taken with my phone and then rescaled :p )

so yeah... was wondering why the steering felt a bit off..... xD

Ill try and make the race, not sure though, missus might not like the wheel going at that time of night lol, not been in the mx5's for a while and never ever raced at that track.

As for the RUF Cspec at suzuka, 2.07 is the max i can get out of it, optimal of 2.06.534 apparently but i dont see how lol, 3 seconds off the fastest guys aint bad i guess.

Ill try and make the race tonight, I havent really drove the MX5 on NTM yet and I really do hate Charlotte Motor Speedway so I dont expect to do to well this evening. Ill hold off on practice till this evening and just run one or two laps so I'm not a danger.

Shame its not summit point long or Oaky long much better tracks for the MX5.

We can alternate the tracks next time we do it, thats as long as its not a wreck fest lol

I haven't watched you lap, But I recon your be loosing half a second to the aliens in T1-T2 half a second at least in the S's....

Dunlop taken wrong and again your drop 0.3 -.05 seconds, The deggers can also pick up around 0.3 without being dangerous.

Spoon you get loose up to 0.7 here against the fast line if you go in to deep or mess up the exit. Exit from Spoon is super important can mean anything from 0.2 - nearly a second by time you turn into R130.

The last hairpin I can also normally find around 0.4 seconds there once I get it right brake late or not egt on the power right and the faster guys will punish you through there....

Your 3 seconds will be in those bends really.

With a password that shouldn't happen. Anyone who drives like that on a passworded host session has no place on the PC let alone I-racing.

I have raced with a few of the people on here, 99% of them are very clean racers no matter there pace they show repsect...

Im sure It will be good mate :D

I think we should set up a destruction derby too... well maybe not destruction but encourage trading paint ;) could even get in pairs and work together to block and box people in.... and maybe pit maneuver them xD

just thinking outloud :p I like the clean competitiveness but it is good to let the hair down ;)

.....saying that we could just join a rookie oval on the small oval and it's pretty much the same thing from what I've heard ;)
